Random Strange Guy: "People, people... We can settle this peacefully... With a Pokemon battle! Wobuffets only!"

 

"Nah. Battle to the death."

 

Fen'ris rushes towards the two guards, and stabs both of them with his knife, before busting the door down with his tail.

 

Settle it... With a duel!

"Wait your Luratos? And how do you know what I am anyway?"

 

Fen'ris
Fen'ris, Basil and Wyrmin dashes inside the building. There are a few soldiers in the lobby, as well as a woman at the counter. The soldiers start to charge. The woman cries and ducks under the counter. Fen'ris readies Scar's tail, when Basil steps towards the men and raise his hand. He opens his eyes wide, and cries, "Look at my eyes, thou humans!" Fen'ris hisses to Wyrmin, "Close your eyes!"

From basil radiates yellow energy as his eyes turn yellow and snakelike. A deadly aura radiates around the lobby, and the soldiers drop to the ground, dead.

Basil staggers. Fen'ris catches him. Basil nods, his face paler. "I'm fine."

"Good job, Basil," Fen'ris says. Wyrmin stands back, speechless. Fen'ris grins and shouts, "Let's go!" He leaps, and the others follow behind him.

Fen'ris leaves those who do not fight him alive but kills whoever comes to attack. When they go up to the second floor, they see a pair of doors that are heavily guarded by soldiers. They cry as arrows pierce them, and Wyrmin lowers his bow.

Fen'ris kicks the door open.

A strangled cry comes from inside the room. Five soldiers are helping Larbi get out of the room. Larbi's face turns white in fear as he sees Fen'ris, Basil and Wyrmin.

Asakeryu
Asakeryu looks back down at the house, which is obviously empty, then looks at the mansion. Growling, Asakeryu turns into his fox shape and leaps across the rooftop. In his true form, he can leap far.

He lands on the other side of the street across from the mansion just as a man jumps at the entrance of the building. The man has a black, long scorpion tails, and a pair of claws from his back. He stabs the two guards at the entrance with his knife.

Asakeryu growls. His spirit power is of A class. Either he was a monster, or was a Vilphan. Behind the man is a dark-blue haired boy and a blond elf.

The trio jumps into the building when Asakeryu sees four figures running from the direction of the gate. A blond girl dressed in silver armour around 16 leads the group, and beside her is a tall, brown-haired man, holding a spear. Behind the two are two Rehniar soldiers wearing golden armours of the Royal Guard. One is a bulky man with a broadsword and another is a girl with a bow.

Just then, a small shape rises into the air from right in front of Asakeryu. He flinches, then sees that it is a bat. What...? He thinks as the bat makes its way down to the Rehniarians. Suddenly, a flash of darkness appears in front of them, and they halt. Asakeryu gasps.

In front of the Rehniar soldiers is the brown haired girl from before. As he looks, the girl's hair turns white, and her skin pale. From her back sprouts two bat wings.

Asakeryu recognises the monster: he has read about it in his home.

A vampire.


Tisaun
Tisaun, Remilia, Lucifer and Emily comes to a halt as a black shadow appears in front of them. Remilia says, "What the hell?"

The shadow clears, and a girl stands in front of them. She has white hair, pale skin, and is dressed in black robes. She snares, revealing her sharp and long fangs. The girl opens her wings, which resembles those of a bat.

A vampire. Tisaun readies his spear, just as his companions ready their swords and bow. The vampire opens her red eyes. She shouts, "Princess Remilia! You have been chosen for execution by the Hellbirds!"

Behind the vampire stands two men, both clad in black robes. One unfastens his cloak and throws it to the ground. He growls, as his skin starts to grow brown fur. With audible cracks, the man starts to get bigger, his body getting muscular. The werewolf then raises its head and howls, waking up a lot of the townspeople of Oaken. The other man also takes his clothes off, revealing glinting black armour. He spreads his arms, and the air around him blurs. Tisaun blinks in surprise. There are now five of the same man, all having the exact appearances. Their ears have gone longer and more pointed, and their mouths have become wider, with fangs. Tisaun has no idea what the monster is called; but apparently it can clone itself.

Nay he stabbed two soldiers in front of Larbi's apartment.

 

"Showtime... Time to put this illusion magic to work," I think, preparing to aid them. I'll try some illusion Rehniar soldiers, created in alleyways, which come out of hiding, armed. The point is to make her THINK she's outnumbered.

I follow up by jumping back, out of sight. I'll stay as a fox to maximize my power. I'll wait to see if stuff gets worse, or I get seen.

If the vampire detects me, I'll create a couple small orbs of fire (Kitsune can do that, can they not?), and, if I can, lessen their capability to be seen. I'll then send them straight at the vampire.

 

"Basil, guard the doors." Fen'ris says.
"Larbi. It's time for you to surrender." Fen'ris says, charging towards the soldiers and stabbing one of them with his tail.

 

"Yes, I am Luratos." Luratos says, smiling. "As for how I know what you are, I have a very useful artefact that lets me see monsters in true form when I wish. He points to his left ear, which has a golden earring. Michael sees that the object radiates energy.

"But my father said you were an 'old man'." Mike says.

Luratos and his companions look at each other, then they burst out laughing. Mike frowns, confused.

Luratos says, "We've once visited the Delvolar village. I went there in a guise of an old man. It's more like a joke for us now. Delvolars trusts elderly than the young." He winks.

Mike is still confused. He looks at the three of the others. They were an unusual group, for certain.

The boy looks down sadly. Rathius sighs and pats him on the head. The boy's skin doesn't become transparent.
"The marks on your face." The boy says finally. "You're a dragon, aren't you?"

Rathius smiles and nods. "Kid - where are your parents?"

The boy shakes his head. "I don't know."

"Were you lost?"

"No."

"Then why were you wondering around on your own?"

"I don't know - I don't remember."

Rathius sighs. Who was this boy?

They walk out of the inn in search of breakfast. Before that, though, Rathius and the boy heads to the town hall.

The man spots them before they spot him. He comes hurrying to them. Rathius asks, "Any luck?"

The man shakes his head. "Nobody came in search for him. Although I have doubts that he is a human at all." He adds with a soft voice. The boy looks around him, his eyes empty.

 

"Well, you haven't killed me yet but how do I know to trust you?"

 

"Well , thats new." I say with eyes wide open . "Lucifer , can ya take the werewolf ? You are maybe the only people here that might make a stand against that guy . About the vampire got quite the sharp fangs and i think i can deal with such a thing. Guess that Emily can take care quite easily of the five man , since the bow helps a lot in that case . Remilia must be protected right ? Is it all ok ?"

Uadlokii finds his axe near the wreckage. He picks it up, as fire and energy course through his body again.

He faces the Balrog in the distance. "How to defeat a foe, who is powerful as shit, is fast, strong and durable?" He wonders out aloud.

Emily starts to say something, but Remilia cuts her off with a growl. Lucifer chuckles. "Our princess does not like being treated like that. Remember; she is as skilled with a blade as any of us here."

Tisaun bows. "I'm sorry. Can you then..."

The three monsters turn back. Rehniar soldiers come running out of alleyways, surrounding them from the direction of the mansion.

Remilia raises her chin and faces the vampire, who is obviously the leader. "Monster! Your actions will be breaking the laws of Rehniar!"

The vampire smiles. "Do you think I care?" She growls and raises her hand. A mixture of red and dark energy explodes outwards, knocking Tisaun and his companions to the ground. The soldiers, though, make no move. They fade away into the air as the energy touches them.

The vampire looks as shocked as the Rehniarians are. Then, she smiles.

Asakeryu swears as his illusion is broken. The vampire then looks right back at him.

Asakeryu freezes. He forgets about the orbs of fire he has around him, as the girl's gaze meets his eyes. Coldness flows into his body.

It is you. The girl says in his mind. I shall deal with you later.

The vampire turns at the four Rehniarians. Asakeryu snaps out of whatever was happening, and launches his orbs of fire at all might.

Something blocks the air between Asakeryu and the vampire. The orbs are cut in half, and dissolves into the air. A petite girl lands onto the ground, behind the vampire, werewolf and the cloner. Her hair is bright red, and her arms are replaced with wings the colour of fire. The harpy looks up at Asakeryu and smiles. Then she takes off, flying straight at the fox.

The four get up. Remilia raises her sword at the vampire. "Why do you do this, vampire?" She shouts.

"Because you killed my family." The vampire says, her eyes glaring at the princess with hate. Remilia steps back, looking confused.

In a flash, the vampire is in front of Remilia. Tisaun shouts and raises his spear. Remilia barely raises her sword, as the vampire's sharpened claws crash into the blade.

 

"Oh Shi- Lets go ! " I shout as hit the vampire arm with the spear , making a deep cut, as well as stabbing her ribs with my dagger "You fighting me , thank you . "

 

"Why would we kill you?" The tanned boy asks, looking confused.

"Ah." Luratos says. "We haven't introduced ourselves yet." He sheathes his swords. "My name is Luratos. I am a Vilphan of Fumilan. People who don't know my real name calls me the Guardian of Fumilan."

Mike flinches. The boy is a Vilphan?

"I'm Mylith." The younger boy says. "I'm an Amazon; I am an apprentice to Luratos as a swordsman."

"My name is Kaya." The older girl says. "I'm a doluxantazi."

A what? "They are monsters who have whips for their arms." Luratos explains.

"I'm Jenna." The black haired girl says. "I'm an angel. Me and Kaya both are bound spirits in service of Luratos."

The soldier gasps, then goes limp. With a soft thunk, Fen'ris takes the tail out of the man's chest.

The other soldiers cower in fear. With an inhuman speed, Wyrmin runs behind Larbi and places a blade against his neck.

Fen'ris releases Scar, who appears behind him. Fen'ris draws his knife and walks up to Larbi.

Just then, a black and red energy passes outside the window. Fen'ris becomes aware of a strong spiritual energy coming from outside.

 

"With boom booms." He looks for more explosives.

 

The vampire hisses and jumps back. She holds her ribs. After a few seconds, though, she releases her hand. Tisaun scowls. Why was there no blood?

The vampire grins. "I am a vampire; I cannot be killed by mere cuts!" In an instant, she is upon Tisaun. The air blurs as the vampire's hands move with inhuman speed. Tisaun barely catches the blows with his spear. The vampire moves her claws upwards, knocking the mna's defence way. The vampire turns and kicks Tisaun in the chest with so much force, he is sent tumbling down the street.

Lucifer crashes with the werewolf. They exchange blows, but it is not obvious who is at an advantage. Emily and Remilia are working on the cloner, who turned out to be a more of a threat. Each of the clones is agile and extremely skilled with katanas. Since there is five of them, Emily and Remilia are having a hard time.

I go to the storages, trying to avoid the attention of the big baddy.

 

Vysticia
The bandits draw their weapons. Just then, a high pitched sound echoes through the captured village. Rogues drop from rooftops, their weapons drawn. Many bandits are killed at once, as the Rogues cut through them easily and arrows rain down on them. Vysticia leaps to join Sylvia, Ben and Hasher in battle. They giver her friendly smiles. "Good job on that!" Hasher shouts over the sounds of blades hitting each other. Soon, all the bandits are exterminated, save for some who have surrendered.

Vysticia quickly runs to the little girl who was tied next to her and cuts the ropes on her wrists. The girl bursts into tears and hugs Vysticia.

Vysticia freezes. Then she strokes the girl's hair for reassurance. "It's okay. You're safe."

"My parents...." The girl sobs. Vysticia understands: she glances at the pile of bodies at the corner, all of them belonging to villagers who have fought the bandits.

"We'll take care of you." Vysticia says kindly. "We'll take you to Forden..."

Vysticia flinches, as coldness spreads around the village. There are sounds of snakes hissing. Vysticia's eyes widen in horror. "Everybody, stop and close your eyes, NOW!"

The entire village goes silent as the villagers and Rebels alike follow Vysticia's orders, aside from the snakes' hissings. Vysticia's heart beats hard, as she remembers a particular memory of a similar- no, the same - encounter in the Kurubiq woods. Vysticia hasn't realised: this village was close to the Cursed forest.

"Oh, what a shame." A beautiful, melodious and seductive voice says. Vysticia closes her eyes shut. It's the same one. She thinks. The bloody same one. "Why would you all ignore me?" A part of her brain urges her to look at the source of the voice, but she resists it. Across the village, there are a few sudden cries, the silence follows again. There are heavy thumps of heavy objects landing onto the ground.

Vysticia grits her teeth. "It's a medusa! If you look at her eyes, you will be turned to stone! She can't harm us unless we look at her or attack her. Just hold on!"
