Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

I point over at the Bantisu box.
I also look around for Hels.

 

I'll uppercut myself on the balcony using only 1 sword and the blunt sode of it for minimal damage and look for the assassin up there

 

Hels is on the ground next to the fallen box.
"Thank you," Elimut says, teleporting across to the Bantisu box.

It still hurts a lot, you land on the balcony aching terribly from the spell. Elimut elegantly lands on top of you after a perfectly executed teleport. "Kalitsk?", he says, testing the door. "Bolted shut from the other side. Well, a little more damage to the Palace wouldn't change much." He raises his wand.

 

Can I go to the wing with lava invaded in it? Can I also carry any hard object with me?

 

I assumed that Elimut had no idea who I was. Now I have to ask what was his opinion in me compared to Dermit

You barely knew him - he left the Academy just after you joined and you only knew Dermit personally because of frequently being sent to him by other teachers. So he probably doesn't have an opinion.

You can carry things, yes...
You cross the main hall and enter the wing. It's completely ruined - nothing but fragments of still standing wall and half-molten rubble litter the area. You can feel the immense heat even with the ring- you shouldn't stay here too long.

Yes. Everyone uses emeralds.
You have four emeralds and seventy shards. Not much at all but it should be easily enough for a drink.

 

I'll just standby and watch.

I use the heat to turn one of my pickaxes into a sharp edge, while using my hard object to strike the edge of the pickaxe

I step into the tavern

 

You see the black-robed mage launch himself up to the platform with a painful looking spell. Elimut blasts the door open and the two leave. As they enter the corridor, Abbot Tranki clears his throat.
"The High King is dead.", he declares. A general wave of shock spreads around the hall.

"Knowledge is power, young man. You think I made it this far without making contacts?" He casts a tiny meteor on the other side of the door, destroying the bolt. On the other side is a corridor. A very long tapestry lines the far wall. Elimut strides confidently through, taking you with him and closing the door behind you. "Anything I should know?", he asks.

It's very crowded and the dwarves scarcely seem to notice you enter.
"A Gert?", the bartender exclaims.

 

"What do you mean?"

 

No comment.
Gonna keep standing silently and observing.

 

Sorry, didn't have a drop of internet yesterday.

I look around the boxes, in order of importance to me. Doushoins' box and Rin, Togak's, then where the voice came from.
"What?!"

 

"You seem to me like someone with a lead.", he says, running back and forth across the corridor, checking all the doors, before going down a flight of stairs. "Must have gone this way."

You can't see the King's body behind all the banners, but you do see Tranki kneeling and praying. The shock subsides and the room breaks out into heated arguments over who did it.
One of the monks reaches the bottom floor. "The King's throat has been slit. We will bring his body down."
"Shit!", Esmé shouts. "Elimut! He's gone- does he know?"

In the Coalition box, you see Rin, and through the gaps in the railing you can see the body of Doushoins. Togak's box is completely smashed, the body of the elf still lying there, blood seeping through the front of her robes, and in the Royal Box, the slim frame of Tranki leans over a body you can't see, praying. One of his monks is comforting him.

Uh, that's way more complicated than the solution I had in mind, but okay.
Using a shard of rock from the other wing, you hit the edge of the pickaxe over a lava flow, gradually sharpening the edge. The heat makes it very difficult - even with the ring you feel very lightheaded. You have to leave before getting it as sharp as you wanted, but it will have to do. Both of your hands are mildly burned.

How many are dead from what I can see?
And about how many people are unaccounted for (buried,eft, etc.) based on what I saw occur

 

I look over to Rin and Doushoins.
"Are you two okay?" I shout to them, even though I got an idea of what happened.

I'm fine with just you. But a death is a death so rip.
