Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

Go to the ruins

 

Immediately go and hug the closest person in reach (If none, stand still terrified)
Look to see if Hels is doing better than me. >.<

 

Which ruins? You're in a mostly ruined city, you'll need to be more specific.

You hug the villager guard, who looks mildly scandalised. Over his shoulder you see that Hels' foot had slipped, but he's regaining his balance.

 

''What do you mean? What's so special about Esmé?''

 

"..."
"Why'd you yell out so loud if all you did was slip?"
"Hmph."
Still holding the guard. >.>

 

"You'll see tonight. Don't know how she does it all, but it's damn impressive. As if her looks weren't enough. Oh what I'd give for one night with her..."

Hels looks at you apologetically but says nothing.
"Uh, could we move?", the villager whispers. "People are staring."

 

Let go and continue moving.

 

"Well I should be able to cast a meteor safely from here..."

''Whatever you say'' I go through the gate

 

”If Dogoj finds and brings Dogun, then problem is solved. So let Dogoj help.”

 

You let go of the guard and carefully make your way to the bridge, the guard and Hels following.
"Well, my job here's done," the guard says, turning back and promptly teleporting back. You're in a small courtyard at the front. A large pair of doors are straight ahead, with guards in much more ceremonial uniforms guarding them. You see Doushoins coming out of a smaller gate to the side, her hair and clothes flawlessly styled, escorted by two other hobbits.
"Ah, there you are.", she says.

The Doguns charge onward, and Banira comes back to meet you. The beast swipes at them, knocking several of them down. A meteor would likely hurt them more than it does the Destrachan.

The gate isn't open yet, so you join the crowd. The elves and the guard seem to have made it through to the Palace. A voice calls to you from the crowd - that of Uliuc, one of your teachers at Gylia.
"Glem?", he shouts incredulously. "Is that you?"

"Ah, it used a scroll. Presumably ended up in Cinfras, hope they're taking care of it. Supposedly some event going on there, security will be tight. But it had two accomplices, that we think fled to the surface."

 

before i reply i must ask. How did we get along?

 

You didn't really get along with any of your teachers given your attitude (hence why they unanimously voted to kick you out), and Uliuc was always slightly more sympathetic than most, but very firm on you because of it - he always believed you had great potential and felt you were squandering it.

 

Wait qas there a reason he didn't teleport us out of that situation? >.<

I say to him "who else would I be?"

 

"You think you can call them back? I'll end up hitting them if theyre too close"

 

He was probably afraid of missing again and landing you all in the river. The spell is much more difficult when you're taking others with you.

He comes out to meet you. He's wearing Gylia dress robes, the official attire of the Academy on formal occasions. "I didn't know how you would have got a ticket," he says. "You'd have to be invited by one of the participating regions or performers. Forgive me if that was rude of me."

He bows graciously. "Miss High Delegate. How wonderful to see you."
"Enough of the formalities. And you, please don't hide from me."
She takes you back the way she came. "I thought we'd have a tour of the palace before the show. I doubt you'll ever be allowed here again. What were your names, anyhow? I don't believe I had the chance to ask."
Hels strikes a pose. "Hels Gahn. Protector of the Forest."

"They wouldn't listen."
The group slash at the monster, chanting "For Torl!". They seem to injure it a bit, but it grabs at two with a claw, cracks their necks and tosses them aside.
