How much of a drop is it?

 

It's fair drop. You probably wouldn't die if you fell, but you would be fairly seriously injured, the river is certainly not deep enough to break your fall.

 

Just keep a tight grip then, while watching what the other two (Hels and the person who teleported us)are doing.

"Why would a gert want to get to Rodoroc?"

 

”To buy many Rodoroc scrolls. Geet told to get Rodoroc scrolls, gert get scrolls.”

 

"Thats quite an enterence you made, and that is it gert, the only reason why going to Rodoroc?"

I move past the banner stall. Is there anything else?

 

”Yes. Why lie? Gert get scrolls, gert then deliver. Nothing else.”

"crap, should we backtrack then? or can we fight it, im pretty full on mana (right?) so as long as theres nothing else in the area i could probably one shot it."

 

"It knows we're here, no point trying to leave, it's faster than us.", Bantira says. "We'll have to fight it, but the dragons... -wait -Doguns! Must be surface colonists. Approaching from the West."

There's a food stall next, selling several delicacies from the area. The famous Gylia Sandwiches, an innovation supposedly of Elimut's, slices of roast Grook and cranberry jam between two slices of bread, Hobbit vegetable stew in wooden bowls, Aldorei Bread Wafers with various sauces and Touroto beef casserole. Several unmarked barrels sit on a back table. It's been a while since you had anything to eat, so you're pretty hungry.
"That'll be twelve shards," the chef is saying to a customer next to you. "Thank you! HOT FOOD! CINFRAS' FINEST!"

The guard pauses after you finish talking to the villager. "So, the damned thing went to Cinfras did it? Pretty good security there at least, hopefully they apprehended it. I'm sorry, but a Dogun broke out of the prison and stole most of out scrolls. We can't help."

After a helpful dwarf points you the way, you climb a staircase at the corner of the residential walls of the city and emerge at the top. You arrive in an oasis of peace in a sea of destruction. Lava is still slowly spilling out of a nearby volcano, ash pluming into the sky. Most of the city around you is devastated. What looks distinctly like a banner you saw in Garah - the Dogun Nation's, clearly, flies from a large half-destroyed building held up by columns, and ruined houses scatter the ash-filled plain. Several rivers of lava flow through, cutting across streets like butter. The area you are in now, what must once have been an unremarkable neighbourhood, seems to be still operational. Dwarves wander round, carrying supplies. Nobody pays you much attention.

Investigate the city

 

You're standing at the end nearest the door. The villager seems to be clinging frantically to a gargoyle just above him and Hels is trying to climb the wall, to no avail.

Which part of the city? You can explore where you are now, the still intact section, go to the Dogun banner or explore the nearby ruins. A large domed building is nearby, most of the panels of stained glass having fallen to the atrium below, there's the ruins of what looks like a marketplace, and there are several towers from which you might get a better view.

They're coming from behind. You're going North, and the Destrachan is just ahead round a small right turn.
