OOC are dragons and hellkites different?

 

Yes. Hellkites are smaller and far less intelligent than dragons.

Out of the crowd of angry and confused voices you hear "Yes, this is Rodoroc." Several dwarves in armour push their way through the crowd.

You rush down the ladder into the city. The layout is a bit confusing, but eventually you come to the back of the crowd. An orange-skinned creature is waving a ripped piece of paper around.

 

"Hello, Gert, what is that?"

 

Congratulations! You've met another player character.


@Bluescreen -
From the back of the crowd, you see a villager approach, asking you what the scroll is.

 

"No idea but sounds like they'll be gone for bit..."

 

"Well, hopefully gone in the right direction."
She leads you around the base of some of the volanoes, fairly close to one of the dragons. As you round a corner, she puts an arm out to stop you.
"Shit.", she whispers. "Destrachan."

It's a type of monster, not an individual.

Noticing your confusion, Bantira whispers,
"I don't really know much about them, but they're certainly bad news, and this one knows we're here."

A dwarven guard reaches the front of the crowd.
"Alright. Where did you get that?"

He fumbles with the wand and points it at the gate, waves it in an intricate pattern and almost drops it. There's a brief, otherworldly popping sound and all three of you are standing on a tiny ledge between the palace wall and a drop into the river, having missed the door.
"Uh, could have gone worse.", the guard says, putting the wand away.
