Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

"It make you go all smart. Ten emeralds a bottle. That's three for half a bottle."

You walk out together and she holds a hand out at a dragon. She looks very annoyed. "So they think in riddles? How does that work?"

"She's on the other side of the bridge. Uh, I'm supposed to teleport you there." He takes a tiny wooden wand out of his pocket.

 

Confused
"Whats it thinking?"

 

"No thanks"

 

"Uhm, okay, but how does that work?" I ask the man, checking my swords and seeds before looking back at him.

 

"Thank you kind sir. I'll be on my way."

 

”Hmm... if villager not recognize then scroll from nok-villager village. Thanks.”
I rip open the darwen scroll

 

You're in a vast underground city, in a large square. Dwarves rush around you and there seems to be a lot of dust in the air. The walls of the city are covered with houses and market stalls surround you. You seem to have attracted a lot of attention. Dwarves stare at you from around the room, all of them very puzzled.
"What the fuck..."
"Is that... did he get that from...?"
"A Gert, seriously? What happened to that Obsidian?"
"Shit, did they have accomplices?"
"Call the guards!"
Several of them seem to be moving in to attack you.

"Uh, it was:
'When blanket left to dawn is turned,
In dusk the hellkites will be burned.'
Any clue what it means?"

"Uh, hold on to me. I can use a spell to teleport us all together. I think. It's supposed to be pretty difficult."

You follow him up and go through a small door at the top, emerging in a similar tower on the other side. The underground part of Rodoroc is neatly organised in the cavern below. A building seems to have been destroyed near the left wall, a pile of rubble stands out, and in the central square a crowd seems to be gathering around a villager-sized figure. The walls are houses, stacked to the roof.

He picks up a luminous yellow bottle. "Elven Elbow Elixir.", he says. "Two emeralds."

 

"Just tell me what it does"

 

"I don't know. An elf sold it to me and ran off. I bet it's really good, look, it glows pretty."

 

"What if your selling poison?"

 

He shrugs and points to a tiny sign below the table.

The text is so small you can barely read it.

 

"Whos he"

 

The dwarf strains his eyes staring at the figure.
"It looks like a Gert. What the fuck's one of them doing here?"

 

I give him a slow clap and just stare at him

 

He stares right back. The banner stall is next to you and looks much more friendly.

 

Let's window shop there

 

"What are those?"

 

Banners cover every surface of the stall in many different sizes, and in way more designs than you recognise. A hobbit child is leaving the stall, now wearing a Forest Coalition banner as a cape. You can see the Royal banner, banners for each of the Nine Regions and some smaller banners with the coats of arms of various noble houses. The banner of Gylia, a purple field with five wands arranged around a blue sun stands out, as well as the green and brown saltire of Olux.

"Uh, don't know too much about them, really. They apparently come from Gylia and they're these big stupid brutes that somehow managed to create a civilisation of sorts."

 

"Sorry." Get to the brute is very quick

 

”Gert use scroll! Is this Rodoroc?”
I hold up the ripped scroll.
