Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

"A robe that looks like it's been dragged through the Sage River? Yeah right. There are dozens of ways you could have got that. I need more concrete evidence than that."

 

"Want me to cast a spell?"

 

He stares at you. "Uh what spell do you have in mind? If it does any damage we'll have to fine you."

 

"No damage it makes you float"

 

"Oh, that windy one? Okay... do it on Siatun here." He points at one of the other guards.
"No way", Siatun retorts. "Just, just let him through."

 

I cast wind prison on Siatun

 

"We should try to escape in the confusion then. Cmon lets go"

 

He shouts at you- "No, don't you dare-" before being floated into the air by gusts of wind. He falls down after a few seconds, panting furiously.
The first guard clearly found this hilarious. He lowers his pike, letting you through into the city, laughing too hard to say anything. You walk up the stairs to the gate, and into the bustling city. Esmé's note mentioned something this evening, so there's plenty of time before you have to start worrying.

You crawl up the ramp made by Juntabi's spells, leading you into the wreckage of the prison. Juntabi has already left, running towards the residential buildings along the sides of the city. The guards are sure enough holding back a crowd of dwarves. Your appearance certainly causes a stir:
"Doguns! Get them!"
"How the fuck did they survive?"
"Let me at 'em!"
"Damned Torl!"
"This is only the beginning!"
They start pushing towards you, the guards are barely keeping them back.

 

How many emeralds do I have? And would I be able to check if a ship has better sword then I currently have if I can afford any?

 

”Dragon?”
I point toward the silouette.

 

You have 19 emeralds and 12 shards. It's a fair amount, it should be enough for a better sword.
You set out to the centre of town, past the residential buildings. There seems to be a buzz of tension and excitement about - several important leaders are visiting, and the summit could resolve the disputes that have torn the Province apart since the beginning of the Cataclysms. Eventually, you come to a weapons shop.

"Yes, that's a dragon." The mage doesn't seem to be concerned at all. "There are a few of them here. Doguns can't seem to keep them under control anymore. It's okay, we're not going that way."

 

I enter the shop

 

"quite nice of her to run off without us huh."
I look for any openings in the encirclement

 

I Keep moving

 

As far as you can see, there are none. Juntabi disappears into a dwarven house behind you.
"Shit.", Bantira says, raising her hand towards the house and closing her eyes. "She doesn't much go for low risk plans, does she? Do we follow her?" A single dwarf breaks through the line of guards and charges at you. He's unarmed but very angry.

Every surface in the room is full of weapons of various types, cultures and designs. Elven swords hang next to dwarven crossbows and orcish spears. The shopkeeper looks distracted, struggling with a small cloth bag. "Fuck, why do they make the knots on these things so damn complicated?", you hear him mutter to himself.

You follow the guard across the island. When you reach the end, he hugs you again and teleports you down into some mines below. "Shit!" he exclaims. "Missed!"

 

"I guess we do, can you tell what she's thinking though?"
As the dwarf draws near, i try to sidestep and smack him aside

 

"Promise that you won't try to tell me it's a good idea?" she says.
The dwarf slips on the rubble and falls down the ramp. The others don't seem deterred - the guards are having to retreat closer to you.

 

"well it's probably our only idea. What is it?"

 

"Ugh, whatever. She wants to get us to the top of the housing stacks, teleport us down to the bottom, steal a teleport scroll before they catch up and hopefully end up in Maex. She has no idea what she's doing. We need to stop her."
