What, to jump off? I can tell you now that there are at least ten decisions you could have made differently in the inn that would have guaranteed you a much better outcome and all would have been perfectly in character...

After a petition, the celebratory town of Dogovi was renamed Maex after an ancient Dwarven town (in a different place) that was destroyed in the war, in order to honour the sacrifice its inhabitants made.

"They're not grunts, they're elite guards." She holds her hand to the wall and closes her eyes. "Uh, the rest of the guards have gone to Thanos. To take care of the dragon. Don't know if that helps."

You walk down the road to Cinfras for about two minutes before you come to stone bridge over a stream.

 

I draw both my swords and go check under the bridge

"so we should find another entrance point? Seeing as how we probably wont be able to get past these guards and with everyone else out dealing with the dragon..."

 

"So, I'm out adventuring in Bantisu when I come across your Gate. There were all these dwarves and - you see, I'm just a simple miner, I didn't know anything about this place," you begin. The surrounding Doguns seem noticeably uncomfortable as you mention the dwarves. "If we don't get them for what they did at the gate...", one mutters under his breath. "So I go to this dwarf and he seems okay, tells me a bit about the area, all that, then bam! -massive dragon, out of nowhere." You take a sip of wine.
"So yeah, Ozoth, swoops down, kills a bunch of dwarves, arrows just bounce off. I do a bit of magic to get away, and all the dwarves start going crazy. So yeah. Pretty terrifying."
You take another sip. The few Doguns that weren't interested at first certainly are now. "So. I come here, do a bit of shopping, get this ring, learn a bit about the culture and when I get out - I find these dwarves hiding in an alley. They talk about attacking me, say they're late for something and then that woman comes out of the bar and they all go crazy. I do a bit more magic, blind two of them, disarm one but then one grabs me from behind. So they kill her and I can't do anything, so I ask the dwarf why she's doing this. And - she said a guy at a bar's 'doing favours' for killing Doguns at a set time. Seems to be a coordinated attack or something. So yeah, you all come out, the dwarves run off and that's where we are now." The bar falls silent for a few seconds and then descends into a buzz of discussion. The bartender turns back to you. "I bet even the police don't know about that guy at the bar. You seem to have had quite the evening..."
@Bluescreen - you wanted a recap, right? This is sort of one.

"Uh, the prison's round the side. I think there are some hot spring caves near there, we can blast through from there." She nods at your wand. "I'm Bantira, by the way. You never asked."

The stream takes up most of the space under the bridge, but it looks like the near side has enough space to lie down. It looks fairly safe and well hidden from the road.

 

I try to fall asleep

 

The pebbles are uncomfortable under your back and two carriages pass over the bridge - they seem absurdly loud from where you are, but you eventually manage to drift to sleep.
Congratulations! You are the only person to get any sleep on the first night of the RP. Now I need to decide if I'm doing dream sequences...

 

"Yo bartender, you have a place to stay for the night? Sorry for already asking you for a drink, but can I stay for the night. I have no place to go."

 

"I think this more than pays for that." She gestures to the crowd that has gathered round. All the seats are full, a lot of Doguns are standing and most of them have drinks in hand. "I live right above here - I have a spare room. Useful if I have folks falling asleep at the bar. You can go there." She lets you behind the bar and points you up a staircase. "First door on the left, I have to stay here. Sleep well." She continues pouring drinks and joins a conversation with a group of customers.

 

"Alright." *Goes to room and sleeps* Also before I sleep, I make an alarm system.

 

How would you make an alarm system with medieval technology? There aren't even analogue clocks.

 

Does the door have a lock?

 

"alright, sounds good. also yea...didnt really have a chance to ask you..."

 

”Gert understand. Gert leave.”

 

The guards tie your hands behind your back escort you up a floor and off the Kandon-Beta platforms, past a heavily guarded checkpoint and onto a still intact road that leads along the cliff to the North. A guard whispers to you, "Go on, follow the road, the first bit's easy. The mage will be waiting for you when you're out of sight. Uh," He clears his throat and bellows: "You, Gert, are hereby banished from Kandon-Beta for treason and murder."
The guards push you forwards, march back through the checkpoint gate and close it behind them. They haven't untied your hands.

"That's quite alright.", she says, turning around and jogging back away from the gate. "I understand it can be difficult to talk to me- most people find it unsettling that I already know everything there is to know about them."

You bolt the door closed. It's a small room with no windows, Doguns seem to have a preference for extremely hard mattresses and the noise from the bar isn't much quieter from up here, but you regardless quickly drift to sleep - it's been a long and stressful day.

 

I walk foward, behid something, so I can’t be seen.
