Rp - Gavel's Darkest Hour- Act Two Begins [7/7]

The window overlooks an alleyway, with another building directly opposite, so it's not the best place to spot something from, but you see no signs of a dragon.

"How did you manage to get into that? Dragons normally care little for individuals. Anyway, that's bad. Who knows where Ozoth's gone now? You might be delivering treasure to the ruins of Cinfras. And dragons don't back down. Once you get her what she wants, she'll demand more. You might truly be doomed."

 

”Also reher-voltution fight. Villager say Duke eat babies sell babies.”
I show him the way to the scene of the fight.

 

"I don't see any dragons"

 

"Wait, dragons want land, Ozoth wanted land, resulted in her attacking the dwarfs. That might work! I thank you." *Leaves*

I still want to get exploring the town though.

 

"I don't need to see the stupid place I-" He pauses, stares into your eyes and suddenly looks much more soulful. "There's nothing for it. What am I supposed to do? I can't abandon my people, but I can't let them starve."

"-DRAGON COMING! Dwarf on the street said -IT'S A DRAGON! NOWHERE IS SAFE! DRAGON!"
Esmé gives a piercing glare from the door. She looks worried, but clearly not about the dragon.

As you walk into the street you feel the presence of something in the alley next to the shop. At least five beings are there, but you somehow know they're not Doguns. The street looks a lot quieter - shops are shutting down for the night.

 

"Where the hell do you hide from a dragon" I say to myself

i head out and continue searching and yelling her name

 

Can i channel clarvoyance to see who they are?

I smile at the idea. "If it would be effective, yeah. But for now, it's just a hobby."

I pause for a moment to think of what to say next.
”But air. Hear airboat in cinfras. Gert find airboat. Bring. People not starve, food sail in air. People sail void. People can find other void islands float.”

 

You're not sure where the right place is, but a wooden inn is most certainly the wrong place. The innkeeper continues, banging harder on the door.
"-DRAGON IN BANTISU! COMING TOWARDS US!"
Esmé laughs at him from the door. "Always was prone to overreacting. You make yourself comfortable while he calms down."

You can tell that they're dwarves. From what you've heard, it's pretty clear they shouldn't be here.

In an alley at the very edge of town you find her hat alongside a dwarven broadsword. There's no blood, either Dogun or Dwarven. Doguns tend not to wear clothes, they just burn off, but she was given it in Gylia and has worn it ever since. She certainly wouldn't willingly part with it.

It's still pretty low from the fight with the spiders.

"What?" he says clearly very confused. "Air... boats? What are you talking about? Look. I appreciate the concern. It's clear what the solution would have been. I don't know what made me destroy the teleportation scrolls - guess I just wanted people around."
*airships have not been invented yet.*

 

"I don't think this is the place to hide from a dragon"

 

Esmé laughs again. "The dragon's stopped if the messenger got here first. We're safe. At least from the dragon." She does her best to nod at the door while leaning backwards on it. The banging calms down slightly.

I pick up the hat and sword and go down the alley

 

"Then why are you holding the door?"

 

It seems to be empty. The ground has been disturbed recently, there are signs of a struggle. You emerge at the other side, just outside the limits of Grinefez.

 

I yell for the headmaster as I continue to search
(can i climb onto a building for a better view?)

 

"You think that would help with a fucking dragon? I'm just trying to make sure this poor bastard doesn't knock his own door down." The knocking abruptly stops. She steps away from the door and winks at you again. "Wouldn't want that happening twice in one day."
