I feel like I should say something to get the history going, but in my mind Hels hardly went further than the Kander forest edge towards east and the marshes edge on the west, so he's pretty much unable to give a good discussion about the canyon

Leaving the battered tool on the steps, you continue to run down the stairs, Ozoth's weight making them shake slightly.
"I'm afraid you don't have a choice in the matter. Loterk, get him in. Don't worry - Elimut will be down in a few minutes, this will all be over. An order's an order, and we are expected to obey."
As he disappears through the upper door, the guard with you easily forces your hands out with seemingly minimal effort. The sword you were holding onto clatters onto the stone floor as he puts the handcuff round your left hand and reaches for your right.
You push the Eye and push it over towards the edge of the staircase. It's heavy, but something of its size would be - at least it can be rolled. The dwarf on the floor gets up. "Don't you fucking dare!", he shouts, as he tries to get to his feet and collapses again.
Togak places the feather carefully on the table and looks over at Abbot Tranki.
"And what is the opinion of our representative of Bantisu? I must confess, religion is somewhat of a blind spot within my usually extensive studies. I'm sure we would all appreciate the input of an expert."
Tranki looks up. "I'm afraid I don't have the answers any of you are looking for. And anyone who pretends they do is either deluded or lying." He looks down again, his expression hinting at sudden regret.
Elimut stares at him with a kind sternness, in the manner of a suspicious parent. "Was that an accusation, Abbot?"

    Ooo, throwing shade~
I guess I'll just focus on regaining my mana and looking out for mana fluctuations. .-.
Politics certainly aren't my (or my character's) strong points. -.-

He binds your right hand, picks your sword up and stows it in his tunic.
"I'll be keeping this.", he says, picking up your sword before taking his keys and unlocking the door, a hand firmly held to your shoulder. As he walks you into the dungeon, you feel Esmé brush quickly past your leg. The damp corridor is barely tall enough to walk in and ominous iron doors line the walls, uncomfortably close together. He smiles at you, smug. Esmé should have had enough time to disable the alarm before you reach a cell but you can't be sure.
    Tranki looks up slightly.
"It is what you make of it. If you see a perfectly vague platitude as an accusation against you personally that is a reflection of you more than it is me, dearest Elimut."
He seems slightly angry. "That in itself was an accusation - are you meaning to imply that I have such a guilty conscience I see a perfectly innocent statement - that could of course be directed to anyone being decisive about anything, regardless of how much the present context says otherwise - as a reference to my own supposed wrongdoing? This seems awfully close to treason, Abbot."
He sighs. "You're not the King yet, and if I have my way you never will be. Look at what you just said and did, look me in the eye and explain how you are being consistent."
Togak stares calmly at the ceiling, clearly with no intention to play a part.
Elimut raises his voice considerably. "I am consistent in my demand for the least bit of respect from my fellow leaders."

You don't, but it's much more difficult and less effective without them, especially given that you've never learned that way. However, the guard made the fatal assumption that you only had one sword.

"Not if you're telling the truth. I'm sure your precious Elimut will clear this whole 'misunderstanding' up and you can have it back. For now, I'm keeping it. Just a precaution."
He unlocks a door near the far end of the row and shoves you painfully to the floor. Esmé has probably disabled the alarm by now, so it could be a window to attack. However, your hands are still bound so it would be pretty awkward to take a sword and cast a spell, and the guard could get away. Alternatively, you could let him lock you inside and wait for Esmé to release you and Dermit and also Halster's fire to be discovered and the evacuation order given, allowing a much smoother escape, but you get the feeling that you don't want to be around when the guard comes back with Elimut - time is of the essence.

    (you were already inside)

He slams the solid metal door shut and turns the key. The cell is completely unfurnished, slightly damp and smells of what you suspect is rotting corpses. The door is completely solid, and you hear the guard's very muffled footsteps head back down the corridor. There is nothing to do but hope and wait. And wait. You have no idea how much time is passing, or what's going on outside of the cell, but you assure yourself that this is a good thing - if Esmé were caught, you'd certainly hear that. And the guard will be walking the scarily small distance to the Main Hall, where the Summit is in progress, ready to bring Elimut back, and what he would do, you have no idea. You have no concept of how long it's been, the guards and the corridor already feel distant. What if Elimut is nearly here? What if Esmé can't save Dermit in time?

(Given that Rin and Hels are also in the palace, I need to continue their story before I can resume this. There's stuff that needs to happen with them before the evacuation alarm goes off. Until then, you're trapped in the cell, waiting.)

Move my lips without making any sound, careful to not Elimut see. "Hypocrite."
Sit up straight supposing imI sitting, if I'm not just straighten my back. "Now, wasn't the question about the assassination of the High Delegate and the Phoenix feather? I feel like throwing accusations and suggest is out of context here."

Tranki gives you a knowing look, while Elimut glares at you. "On the contrary, it is of the utmost relevance. If instead of providing his potential crucial input the Abbot -" A guard has come in, slightly hurried. He walks briskly across the hall and towards Elimut, and whispers something in his ear. An expression somewhere between cold satisfaction, worry and rage spreads across his face. "You utter fool," he hisses at the guard before addressing the table. "Excuse me, there is something I must attend to in the dungeons. This meeting is suspended until I return. I shall not be long."
He grabs the guard by the arm and neatly teleports across the room with him, and Tranki breaths a sigh of relief.
Togak looks over at Tranki. "While I admire your sentiment, Abbot, I can't help but feel making an adversary of Elimut, at least in his presence, is a rather dangerous idea."
Tranki shrugs. "It's his choice to be moved by it. I only speak the truth."
I haven't forgotten you. I'll get Wynnchairman's response and then it'll be you. For now, you can see the Eye and you're running towards it, the Dogun mage seems to be trying to push it down the stairs.
