She jumps up in surprise, dropping the robes she was holding and gives a hasty bow in your direction before frantically looking over the robes, straightening and folding them into the basket before kneeling towards you on one knee, silent.

She immediately stands up straight, her arms stiff by her sides.
"Of course, sir", she quivers. "Sorry, I'm clearing the late High King's personal possessions out of his room. I'm not in trouble, am I sir? Please don't take me to the dungeons again, my hand just slipped when you came in - I wasn't expecting anyone to come!"

Rin might have thought so too, actually.

You step up towards the table, heads still staring at you. Elimut glares from the head of the table. He clears his throat.
"Now that we're all here, we may begin our session. First, we must discuss the tragic and untimely death of Gertrude Doushoins, High Delegate of the Forest Coalition. She was killed by an arrow in the eye during the chaos following the attempt on the life of Togak. With her were two bodyguards she had hired over the offer of Cinfras Guard protection. Through analysis of the position and direction of the arrow, we can determine that neither was the assassin. However, that does not mean they are not at least in part to blame. The assassin appeared to have shot from the Bantisu box, seeming to anticipate that it would be empty. Some witnesses describe a villager dressed in black, who fled into the upstairs corridors. I personally tried to pursue, but was too late. There was a thorough search of the Palace and surrounding areas before it was concluded that the killer was no longer there. The method of entry into the Palace is unclear. The bodyguards have been summoned here to give their own evidence, so we may better understand what happened. Gahn and Taerak - does that description match your experience of the event?"

"Turn left at the end of the corridor then it's the third door on the right, sir. Wait, who are you? Tell me right now! I can only imagine what they'd do if I gave an intruder directions..."
She looks like she's trying to be threatening but she can't hide her fear.

Actually, it did seem a bit ridiculous. You're standing at the table, everyone else is sitting. Technically not a retcon.

"It's very simple, you never saw me and I never saw you. Understood?" I start going back to (I forgot his name again....)

As you leave, Halster comes through, wand outstretched and casts a spell into the bedroom - the elf falls face first to the floor, unconscious. "Now we put her where nobody will look. Don't worry, she'll wake up in a couple of days, we'll be long gone."

 

"By the things she was saying I have a feeling that if she's missing for a few days she'll be put in the dungeon"

 

"The arrow had it's fletchings made of pheonix feathers."

Or perhaps it's the Bantisuist sacred significance. The Coalition is notably secular." Tranki looks uncomfortable. Togak seems perplexed and stares at the feather. "Could I examine that? There's far more to any phoenix feather than can be seen at a distance."

"Shit. What can we do? We'd need a potion to wake her up. How the fuck can we save her?"

Do I have to walk around the whole table before giving it to him?
