I just push your hand away.
"Stay focused." I whisper.
I cover my wound again with my hand

 

They aren't trying to break in.

"Elimut's orders. Respond with lethal force if we meet resistance. Look, we didn't know the innkeeper would refuse to let us past! Shit, elves are so judgemental. Can't we make mistakes?"

"I see."
You reach the edge of the town and go towards the lava river. It's extremely hot and you can see several stone buildings all covered in banners- the armoury, several other shops and the inn, where the accomplices are staying.
"I'll have to leave you now. Go to the armoury, they'll pay."

 

"If you count taking a life as a simple mistake-"
"What reason do we have to trust any of your words." I say coldly

 

"If it was your friend, would you be okay with someone killing them and saying it wasn't his fault?" Shout again.
Turn to Rin. "Please." Mutter so only get can hear. Put the hand up and towards her cheek again.

Stop your hand again with the hand that was blocking the wound.

 

Keep it there. "Let me help."

 

"How?"
I'd like to know if I'm in a position where I see both the door and the window? If not both- then just the door.

 

Try to clean it with my thumb again. "I have equipment for that in my clothes. Please."

 

I look at your empty hand. Last I knew- you didn't know healing magic. I lower my hand anyways.

 

I don't. But I can grow the healing plants and ethyl alcohol is good for cleaning.

Clean the wound. Not sure if I should be creepy or not about the blood. Aka what I would do or what I wouldn't do.

 

I go to the armory with the armour

 

"Fucking elves," he mutters under his breath. "Look, I'm not pretending it isn't a tragedy or anything, but people die all the time here. We follow orders, and if they tell us to kill someone that's not our fault. You should be saying this to Elimut, he's the one responsible."

You can see both if you turn the right way, it's a small room.

Wiping away the blood you see a deep open cut. That isn't going to fix itself soon.
(btw elves are immune to infection, so you don't need to worry about that)

The armoury is equal parts Dogun and Dwarven armour and weaponry. A Dogun mans the desk, getting up immediately as you come in. "Oh wow, that's quite the... killed a dwarven soldier did you? Are you sure she deserved it? I get more and more and I can't help but feel a bit guilty for all the murders I'm aiding..."

As you start to leave the study, you notice a large stack of papers on Elimut's desk. Notes, diagrams letters... it may well be private but he did sort of give you permission. And you wouldn't need to see Esmé again.

 

Who cares if they were private, they won't be for long. I read the notes

Wait a bit to respond. "Well, I just might!"

So, imI gonna state a few options, tell me if I can do those or not. Also, @Kyubi & Kylin , tell me which Rin would be the least mean about.

- Cauterization of the wound
- Stitches
- Stuff to stop the bleeding
- Something to keep the wound closed, like, connect the two parts but not close it

I put the armor on the desk.

You sift through the notes. They were clearly written on the assumption that only he would need to understand them and are quite difficult for you to make sense of - there are no titles, he uses odd contractions and there's no punctuation. One line reads:
"Coord + precise to u/ or o/ floor to circle 3 a' 4 in with runes numerals 4-6 hi inner portal"

The letters might be more coherent, there's one addressed to Duke Ormut of Ahms, another to Togak, one from Doushoins and another from King Rogdon of Rodoroc.

Possible but not where you are now - you'd have to find something hot enough.

Beyond your capabilities, though a specialist could do it for a price somewhere in the city.

You could try growing a plant to do that but you've never done it before and don't know if it would work.

"It comes with mind-reading. I know exactly what everyone is going through." You both finish your food. "Should we go now or wait for them to call us or just go down?"

"Sord's - was - the Duke of Ahms wasn't he? Don't know much about him. Sorry to hear he's dead.
He examines the items.
"Female, officer, scout equipment, good condition. Quite a catch. Is seventeen emeralds okay?"

 

I'm not interested in politics, so i guess i sadly have to go back to Esme and get the book about mind reading
