I appreciate your dedication to a project of this caliber, it is really impressive you were able to do this. I've actually thought of doing something similar to this before, but didn't for reasons I'm sure you can now very clearly see.

But honestly, this rating system is so flawed. You already pointed out the fact that iconicness should not exist, but what about difficulty? Rewards? Why is dialogue worth 30 points? Gameplay should always take the forefront by far. I would rather play a game that looks horrible but is a joy to play through than look at pretty pictures or read witty dialogue while suffering from sloppy controls, boring missions/levels, repetitive concepts, etc.
Back to difficulty. Now if you are judging this based off of accuracy (for example: say if a level two quest has some impossible boss that destroys new players, it would get a low score, while if some endgame quest that builds up to some insane boss fight that turns out to be incredibly easy would also get a low score) that is actually fine. But if that is what you were trying to do, why are you so hard on the super early tutorial quests for being easy? And if you aren't basing this on accuracy, then I don't understand why this is part of the rating system. In my opinion, difficulty needs to strike a balance between being so frustrating I want to rip my hair out and destroy my computer, and an infant could literally beat this with their eyes closed. I would like it to provide a challenge that feels very rewarding to overcome, but is always within my reach. Obviously it is impossible to strike this balance because everyone has a different skill level in games, but I think most people can come to an agreement about things like the difficulty, or rather lack thereof, in something like Enzan's Brother. So to sum it up, I don't think it makes sense why harder quests would get more points than easier quests, as opposed to quests that are the correct difficulty for their position getting 10 points.
Rewards, however, just do not apply to the idea that a perfect balance is the best possibility. They should not have any impact on how good a quest is, and even if my favorite quests gave no rewards I would still do them simply because they are fun.
And finally, dialogue should not be equal with gameplay in importance. I'd say it should be worth maybe 10 points. Oh, by the why, giving The Olmic Rune a 0 is just cruel, the lack of dialogue is literally the whole gimmick of the quest. It sets the atmosphere as, you know, The Silent Expanse? It is not an amazing quest by any means, but certainly deserves better than a 24.

damn you really did write an entire essay there lol.
I genuinly really appreciate the feedback and i 10% agree on most of it, except on 2 things,
    1. i really dislike the olmic runes. could just be my own biase, but it’s just there. it’s litterally squeezed inbetween 4 of the best quests in the game.
    2. this is porbably just me, but i find dialogue to be the single most important of all. while yes a quest needs to be fun, for me personally the dialogue is the most important. It’s why I’m a huge fanboy for Fate of the Fallen and an Iron Heart part 2, because while the gameplay lacks, the dialogue just skyrockets the quests.
on all the other points i agree, especially difficulty, but like i said, i only gave this a thought at level 50 and really did NOT want to have to redo evrything up until there. if I ever were to do this again, (which I probably will cuz this was a lotta fun and ill def write rankings for more things) then i would do p much everything you said.
also I really love your feedback, that really overjoys me :)
