Replacement Mage Move: ✺arcane Pulse!✺

Hey guys, recently I noticed that ice snake is not very good and is extremely laggy (at least for me... that is why I stopped playing mage). So, recently, I have come up with a new idea for it:

Send you enemies flying backwards with a powerful pulse of arcane power!
Grade I:
- Mana: 8
- Damage: 130%
Water: 20%
- +Arcane Damage, Damage your opponent while flinging them backwards.
Grade II:
- Mana: 8
- Damage: 140%
Water: 20%
Earth: 10%
- +Mana Smash, Pick up our opponents (up to 5 at a time) and hold him in the air for 2 seconds, then fling him down and back with great force, dealing extra damage.
【Note: They are encased in a cage of blue particles and may not move until slammed downwards.】
Grade III:
- Mana: 8
- Damage: 150%
Water: 20%
Earth: 15%
Air: 10%
- +Shattering Impact, Hold you opponents for 3 seconds in the air, then smash him super hard on the ground, causing him to break his legs, therefor preventing him from jumping for the next 5 seconds.

Ice snake it one of the main reasons why I have my mage/dark wizard as my highest lvl class, just because it doesn't deal huge damage doesn't mean it's useless. Ice snake in nether and in duels gives mage a huge advantage over other classes .-.

Ice Snake is plenty useful.

First off, it slows enemies, and even completely freezes enemies at the second tier. Quite useful for getaways or to allow more damage, as damage is easier done on a still target, especially if said target is normally very fast. A debuff move certainly does not require excess damage.

Also, Ice Snake reaches much farther than any other of the Mage's attacks, potentially being second only to the Archer's abilities. Damage is a fair trade-off for range; when it is necessary (and of course, when it is possible, as some areas are too constricted), you do not have to go in close combat, by using Ice Snake.


While the lag Ice Snake causes you is, of course, not a good thing, it does not (likely) affect the majority of players, so it won't be changed under that reasoning.



About the actual spell itself, it seems alright. In the case that Wynncraft ever adds new spells, this could be one of them. Though I should point out that Ice is not an element; I assume you are suggesting the Water element. Also, I don't believe mobs have Mana values, and thus, that specific effect for the third upgrade would be pointless in PvE, which many players play, rather than PvP. Try changing the effect(s) of the spell.

 

I agree. Ice snake is a huge part of being a high level mage.

I like the general idea but ice snake is a very important spell. It does not lag every player. If wynn did add new spells, this would be an effective one. Good idea though.

Not a good idea, like the others said. Ice snake is supposed to be used in tandem with meteor, to freeze enemies in place so meteor can hit them

 

If they ever add alternate spell choices or something, then this would be cool! But I wouldn't want to replace one of the current spells completely with this one.

 

Completely suspending your enemies for such a long time is ridiculously overpowered, especially with that damage output and the leg-breaking effect. This would prevent players from using spells to escape, same with mobs, which would only serve to make the Mage overpowered.

To be honest, I'd love this, but only if it were added as a new spell. I'm not interested in losing the benefits of Ice Snake, no matter how many times I scream in frustration as my mouse double-clicks and summons it instead of healing me.

That title GIF is nice, but this would piss quite a lot of mages, even more than when Archer lost the ability to pull back a bow.
