The state of advancement in the world of Wynncraft leaves me constantly confused.
    - How developed are these people, really?
    - What time period can we compare this world to?
And the answer is easily none, because it's a mix of everything.

Oh before I get into it, an excuse for this could be "magic", but it's executed in funky ways or done by people with little magic that sometimes we can rule magic out entirely.
"In 1775 Scottish inventor Alexander Cumming was granted the first patent for a flush toilet" (Barksdale). So why does the Dwarven king have what we can assume is a flush toilet?

First off on the absurd visualization and lore development of technology:
Dr. Urelix and his factory is super advanced, like, by its looks, future level. Although with Villagers having higher magical potential than humans, this can be seen as magic. But I'm tired of this and magic is an annoying and easy excuse.
The factory is your normal typical factory and has no magical elements to say "this is how we got this far in technology!" It needs to show the how. It lacks explanation and feels too far-fetched for the technology of everything around the factory.

    Disappointed by Wocs:
There's also alien species like Wybels and now Wocs that are advanced beyond imagination, and the existence and lore behind these two annoy me. If they're so smart why did they both crash land on Wynn's planet anyway? Having just the Wybels . . . fine. Sure one alien crash landing, but with a fun species you might not expect to be able to create what they could. . . . Orange Wybel is a super fun idea. Then the new Wocs are the same thing, and it's just . . . why do they need to exist on this level?

Then the people on the moon are also advanced being able to live there and have spaceships. Another alien species and it's not technically on Wynn so it's . . . whatever. These guys are fine. Though I feel like our character would question their existence and their machines along the way. As well as suffocate on the moon, since it appears parellel to ours.

Slykaar has created advanced machines too, as seen in his quest Corrupted Betrayal, he was able to turn that slime into a monster in a machine similar to the one we see in Cowfusion that turns us into a cow. This would have been fine if it didn't incorporate that machine into the whole process/cutscene . . . it could have been left out entirely and been entirely Shamanism. That would've been much better.

WynnExcavation has access to some crazy mining machines to be able to dig on the scale seen in Site B-D. They dug far, and very deep into the earth, and in C, through an extremely hot environment (heat doesn't bother us either haha, or perhaps, anything in this game).

Olux has that giant, industrial tree-cutting saw, definitely electric (magic!) or something.

Then the entirety of Corkus and its machines but I'll let them slide. Yet, maybe not. . . . Their magic needs to be unique! It needs to carry weight and feel special. Yet there's Corkus machines or advanced stuff like Urelix's factory and it's so widespread Corkus doesn't feel special or an exception to this typically medieval fantasy time period.

With each update it feels increasingly science fiction, and it's not explained. There's no how to it. It doesn't mix well with the other aspects of the game being medieval fantasy.

I'm sure I missed a ton of quests and technologies throughout Wynncraft.
Edit: Llevigar has some sort of power system.

Archer might as well be replaced with a new class that has guns.

Anyway I had the need to rant this because I really wanted to get this out into the world.

honestly, i'm pretty fine with the state of technology in this game. it makes it feel much more unique than most fantasy worlds.

if technology advancement was reduced, the game would feel a little more boring and the options for quest stories would be more limited

Archer has already been modernized, as seen in the Fission major ID, which, when combined with the Explosive Impact major ID, and combined with a t-stack build, you will have a Nuclear Semi-automatic RPG.

i get why you dont like it, yeah it is weird the widespreadness of tech, but technically magic is a word describing something that cannot be explained, which means in the end everything can be brought down to a scientific explanation. due to this i would like to disagree, but it would be nice if you added a "kind of agree" option because thats how i feel.

if there was more logic to the tech currently in the world currently explained as "magic" like for example, 'the flush toilet is powered by volcanic energy' (obviously i thought of this on the spot) or something it might make a little more sense.

If they removed all the advanced technology then wynncraft would become another generic fantasy world.

Of course it doesn't need to be historically accurate but there's huge gaps between what certain people and cities are capable of. It's so sporadic and random . . . overall integrated poorly into the world.

Yes, it would do wonders if we could get more lore or explanation on the random advanced technology we see in game.

I want it to make sense and not feel out of place, if it has to continue to exist.
    ________________________________
I think I wrote it poorly--I don't want them to completely remove the advanced aspects. I just want them to 1) develop their ideas more and give them some explanation, integrate it smoothly into the world and 2) tone it down a little bit, make it more infrequent.

That's just a one-off deal, one gun, in a Western style area that still fits somewhat snugly into the game. And sure it's the medieval period at the least so we've got arquebusiers and what-not so yeah, guns exist. Not wide-spread or anything and not entirely powerful and effective but they did have their niche and place.

You know how the player kind of progress’s through the world? If you do quests, then you start in ragini, and as you follow the quests you gradually spend more time in detalas and then the desert and so on. Eventually quests take you to corkus, a more advanced region. I think of different areas and provinces in wynncraft to be in different time periods. At endgame level you spend a lot of time in the silent expanse, which symbolizes the end of the world. Kind of a cool theory, that different areas are in different time periods. The theory would explain the lack of progression in some places.

I agree there's a lot of thrown in tech, but I'm fine with it IF it feels natural. Urelixs factory makes sense but it feels too futuristic due to the block palette. If it was more medival looking I would be fine with it. Stuff like the wooden elevators in ahmsord, it feels natural and not thrown in. There are way less cases of jarring looking tech so I'm fine with it
