Basically, I'm trying to do the quest "An Iron Heart II" as a level 75 archer, and when I get far enough into the factory alarms start going off and lights on the ceiling start flashing on and off. When that happens, I lag like crazy and die to any Guard Golems immediately, so I can't get past that part (it's been three days). I was wondering if there was something I could do to reduce or (hopefully) completely get rid of the lag from the redstone lamps or redstone in general.

It's more of an effect for the "broken down factory" type of thing, I don't think they would remove it.
Just put your render distance all the way down or something.

Try re-reading the question, since this has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Try lowering your render, that might help.

I just tried it, and it didn't change anything. I still died in a few seconds.
