Random Elemental/rainbow Spears I Thought Up

Alright, if there's one consistency that elemental spears in Wynncraft has, it is mostly the fact they are related to events or objects in the cosmos, like quasar, supernova, pulsar, etc. I felt that, why not, just make some hypothetical spears that could continue this trend and I'm a giant astronomy nerd so why not. Now these are not balanced in any way as I created them kinda randomly. Now to present them, Magnetar, Blazar, and GRB.

Magnetar is basically an upgrade of Pulsar but it emphasizes a little bit more on thunder damage as Magnetars sound basically what their name implies, magnet star, but the star is a neutron star. They are considered to have some of the most powerful magnetic fields in existence but they don't last long in the time frame of the universe. I also emphasized earth damage a bit as they do have a high gravitational pull.

Blazar is also an upgrade of the spear Quasar essentially. Quasars and Blazars are the same thing but the difference is the emission jet of a Blazar is pointed close or directly at Earth, making it appear very bright, sometimes as bright as stars when you do an exposure image and they can be billions of light years away. So, the only thing I could think of that was bright is loot and experience, so I gave it stealing, loot bonus, and xp bonus.

GRB is something I kinda made up the stats for and added some other influences. GRB or Gamma Ray Burst, are beams of light that are emitted from a collapsing star before it goes supernova or hypernova. The energy from a GRB is powerful enough that it can be seen briefly on telescopes billions of light years away, quite often outshining the galaxy it came from. If a GRB were to hit Earth and it came from within are galaxy, it would automatically cause a mass extinction in no time flat as Gamma Rays are the highest energy form of light and thus it travels at the speed of light. Gamma rays also have the ability to destroy ozone and shred DNA, so yikes. This is why GRB is basically stupidly fast and can be used in tier stacking builds like Skien's Madness, but because of how deadly they are, it takes away elemental defenses and health regeneration.

Now, I want to touch on the king spear of elemental spears, Collapse. To me, if it were to fit the trend better, I would have either called it Hypernova or, if you wanted to stay close to the original name, Collapsar. Hypernova and Collapsar are considered the same thing so I'd be fine with either one. Feel free to make changes or suggest items that would also fit this trend to. Also, if you notice a mistake with my astronomy stuff, post it below.

can we talk about how busted the base damage is
it's 2x that of quinque and also beats collapse using the same build

other thoughts on grb:

• -hp needs to be harsher
  
• -hpr should be raw instead of % imo
• raw melee should be higher
• attack speed bonus needs to go die
• it needs sp reqs, maybe 30 all or something idk

here's my take on the same concept (baseline calced from bart's thread)

 

I really agree with Qzphs for GRB being too op, 300-420 damage in total for super fast attack speed is wayyyyyy too high for warrior, and even you are with the lowest damage possible it still beats a lot of mythic spears.
Also your attack speed bonus made cancel-stacking this weapon really busted.

This is a lot better.

This demonstrates how the build works. Basically it forces you to spam bash and no uppercut for you. I am not a fan of negative HR though, but when you are holding the weapon, at least your health wont generate for you, also your defense are halved to nullified. It still do a lot of damage with bash (and -1 spell cost) but You are being a glass if you are holding it.

Lol, ok GRB with attack speed was an idea, I'm willing for it to go away as long as it has a super fast attack speed.

Not quite certain about the spell cost stuff but if you feel like that makes it better, then thats fine. Also, is there suppose to be negative exploding or was that a typo?

grb's easiest to confidently debate on since it's in the endgame level range, which everyone is far more familiar with

i like the idea of mythics being unique in a sense, would be awkward imo to have a gang of collapse minions in the item pool

come on, that's just a 3mr stat stick. i dont feel that there are enough interesting positives in the design to give it character.
also i suspect it's flawed as a concept as i claimed earlier

 

Yeah, as mainly a warrior player, I'd say this spear kinda sucks really. There's a small decrease to 1st spell cost, some mana regen, and some spell damage percent, at the cost of negative exploding(why?), negative defenses, negative health regen percent, and +30 max to 3rd spell cost. I kinda like yours over mine as it does keep the core aspects of the original without modifying it too much.

Exploding wasn't in the original build and GRB's, as far as I know, aren't explosions.

 

Welp do you have idea how op this spear is if you give it uppercut, its damage is still as high as Collapse's. And if it is for fast melee though, then maybe like this?

Maybe for my spell one take it as a -10? I realized that I made a typo at the -1st spell cost thingy

 

keep in mind it's got a naturally absurd baseline just off of being a lv100 fabled
you wouldn't see something like that in the item pool in practice since its superior baseline would obliterate the meta
if you drop its level to something near proxima i imagine its strength would be sensible

there's nothing inherently wrong with ele defs here but it's just unoriginal for any endgame weapon to match the traits of its mythic counterpart, plus they were cluttering the tooltip

i personally feel that the weapon needs to come with unavoidable negative sustain, otherwise it's not really impactful.

still would be icky in that it strays from the item concept
also spell costs are not something to be thrown around everywhere, even olily doesn't go as far as what you're proposing

 

If it's the old version of the spear, it is definitely overpowered. What could be kept and implemented to counteract the "overpoweredness" of the spear is the negative health regen percent as the negative health regen raw already exists on the other versions.

i find it odd that a weapon with intelligence req is designed exclusively for a melee playstyle
this is generally why rainbow stuff is spell-oriented

However basically everything alive is avoidable, maybe except orange lily +10 spell cost or if you are making it -1000 hr, and -ele def is also one of the negatives but I know, it is unoriginal, I know that.

What everyone is trying to say is that you should take at least a bit to learn how items work before posting a thread with custom items.

Please use "Rainbow". Elemental is a word used for the presence of any element. You're not cool or contrarian for using extremely unclear terminology.
Please take the time to learn basic game balance before posting something like this :(
