question about potions vs scribing

hi, newbie here. what is the difference, im making my mage. and i want to dedicate myself to one of those. but it could be cuz its so low level but scribing just heals me instead of buffs. should i focus on potions or scribing

 

Food, Potions, and Scrolls are all types of crafted consumables, their differences are,
-Potions-
Short duration, but have very strong effects, ex. +33% spell Damage for 230 seconds, good for raid bosses.
-Food-
Long duration, but weaker effects, ex. +18% spell Damage for 700 seconds, good for Lootrunning, grinding mobs and profs, and Forgery runs.
-Scrolls-
Shortish duration, weakish effects, but apply in an area to multiple players, ex. +14% spell Damage for 300 seconds, with an effect radius of 10 blocks, good for general party content, especially Annihilation parties and raid bosses.
