Question About Particle Effects/pets/cosmetics In General

When I played the game a year ago turning on a cosmetic effect would keep it on throughout multiple logins/world changes/class changes until I changed them or turned them off. After coming back after a year all of my cosmetic items now shut off upon switching or changing classes/worlds. For example, I'll turn on 3 wybel pets on one of my classes, switch classes using /class, and the pets will auto-disable. This happens with all effects that I change after coming back.

Is this a new effect, and if so how can I keep my particles active over multiple logins? Is anyone else having this issue, and if not is it another glitch with my account? Please let me know. I want to use my effects without turning them on every time I play the game.

 

That's interesting. It might be a consequence of 1.18, I'm pretty certain these effects persisted when I tested a couple of months back.

 

I want to believe it's just another bug with this update but I feel like no one else has this issue, which is why I'm asking. The weird part is that the effects I left on from a year ago stayed on, but after I changed them they keep turning off each time I switch classes/worlds or logout. I want to use the effects but get sick of having to turn everything on only for it to vanish later on.

I technically did not log on at all after the update released late 2017 was released, and rejoined in 2019 after this update was released. This might be a possible cause, although there are people like me who take a year or more away from the server and never have any issues. I honestly think something in my player data might be corrupted (same possible cause with my glitched bank) but unless high staff is actually willing to find that out I can't really do anything about it.

Can you change effects freely, and do they stay on after logging out or switching classes/worlds?

 

Haven't tested it since 1.18 (I rarely use them so I'll have to check next time I log on).
