World Quest/questline Idea: Dimension Hopper

So this is a questline idea that I was wondering about, since we don't have too much quests involving these kinds of topics. So here's the first quest, more to come.

Quest #1: Portal Research
Level Minimum: 47
Talk to Byneb in Llevigar (I haven't decided where yet, and Byneb is an Anagram of Nebby lol)
Quest Difficulty: Medium

If you talk to Byneb underlevelled:
Byneb: I kind of need your help on some research, but you seem to too weak and too dunb. We'll talk again at Level 47.
After Finishing the quest:
Byneb: Thanks for finishing that long task... But you got a ways of research ahead of you.
Starting Dialogue:
Byneb: Hello, adventurer. Would you fancy some research?
Byneb: Not just any research, but research on interdimensional theories!
Byneb: Staying silent, eh? I'll take that as a "yes, I want to do research."
Byneb: To start off, we need to head to the Llevigar library and find books on these theories.

[Questline Started: Dimension hopper]
So basically, this stage is just heading into another section of the Library to right click book NPCs, and only the right ones give you the right books, total of 4 books that give you the right ones.

The Crystalline Encyclopedia
After you obtain the 4 right books (marked in green) you will get a

And then you return to Byneb in his laboratory.
Byneb: Ok great, you got the books. There are no theories on interdimensional things so these will have to do.
Byneb: Here, I'll read Cosmic Science and the Nether Portal for Dummies, and you can read The Crystalline Encyclopedia and Framework for everything.
The Crystalline Encyclopedia (You read this first)
Crystallines have been a big part in science research, with all their unique properties.
You flip through the pages until you find one entry.
The Empowered Star Amethyst
The Empowered Star Amethyst has very little research done on it, but it has the power to open rips in the air leading to Alternate Universes. It is made out of [Stardust] [Amethyst] and [Rainbow Stone]
You then notice Byneb reading over your shoulder.
Byneb: What? I was already done with my books. These items are actually not too hard to get.
Byneb: Amethyst can be found in our Quarry. I know it's all quartz, but if you look in a special cave, you can find it.
Byneb: There's a meteor up north that fell recently. You can probably find Stardust there.
Byneb: Rainbow stone is found deep in the light forest, but a few have miraculously traveled nearer to Llevigar, and can be found in a deposit to the northeast.
[Quest Book Updated]
So this is basically a fetch session.
After you get back, Byneb is waiting for you.
Byneb: Took you long enough. I built the portal frame while you were getting the items. Framework of everything included a build guide, so it was easy.
Byneb: Moving on, did you get the items?
Byneb: Perfect! Now all we need to do is to give them to me.
Byneb sprinkles the stardust on the amethyst. The Amethyst absorbs the stardust, and starts to glow.
Byneb: And the final ingredient...
Byneb turns on the fusion bolt and fuses the rainbow stone and the Star Amethyst together.
Byneb proceeds to do something with it along with iron, and returns a few minutes later.
Byneb: Ah, finally. The portal opener. It's supposed to ignite a portal. We can figure out how that works later.
Byneb: You were a great help (player name). But I guess we're out of time today.
Byneb: Oh, the portal opener? You can have it. You can enter the Portal now, but be weary of the dangers on the other side.
Quest finished: Portal Research
+50,000 Experience Points

Okay stargate is already a tv series do you want us to get sued.

 

darn don't reveal my master plan... ok in all seriousness It was a starcraft reference... you use a stargate to transport like air units or something in protoss.

 

Sounds cool, makes me want to know what's next ^^

 

The quest is too slow, no puzzles, parkours, only take that item, read that book, do that, dialogues are superficial too, add more depth and detail, it's random for now, it's just a go there, take this, see the cut-scene, goodbye, the books don't tell any information to the player, they just tell you to get items to create an interdimensional portal... What are those books related to interdimensional portals, add at least a sneak peak to the other quests to make this one looks interesting because it's too slow for now, sorry...

Improvements List:

Alright, thanks for improvement. I will work on reworking this quest suggestion before moving on to others.

 

The CT [I think] has said that 90-95 won't have regular side quests, but will instead be a mini-storyline based around Molten Heights.

 

How would the portal work? I mean, we players share the world, and if I was a lower level and it already had been activated, can I go through it? That also means you can only do it once for every new server (based on server restarts).

Honestly this sounds more like a mini quest lines rather than the main quest line, you know.

I don't really get how this would work in the lore or in the context of wynn though. Even though, I'd play that quest. Sounds fun.
