    In your compass, you would be able to choose one of your active or possible quests and your compass would point to the relevant coordinates. The compass direction would also depend on the quest stage, cause you have to visit multiple locations in most cases.

    Only if the quest gives coordinates in the book will the compass work, when you have to find out stuff yourself the compass won't work.
