I've noticed the Item Identifier automatically decompresses Emerald Blocks when identifying emeralds, and thought for a while that this always happens if you buy something that you have enough for, but in another form.

Turns out that it doesn't, and I ended up having to grind for emeralds by breaking pots a la Legend of Zelda to buy something since it wouldn't auto-convert for me like the Identifier does, and I didn't want to run out of time to run all the way to another city before the server restarted to convert one emerald block back into 64 emeralds, and then run all the way back to the other shop just to buy something.

I don't want to have to go through this hassle again, and I'm sure you've run into a situation like this at some point. So the idea would be that the Shopkeeper NPCs would be able to automatically convert emeralds just like the Identifier does. It's basic, but would do a lot in eliminating the hassle of running to a city to revert if you find something you want to buy in the middle of the road. You still have to convert emeralds into Emerald Blocks and then into Liquid emerald if you have lots of them, but you will no longer have to worry about having enough of a currency in another for but not be able to buy something because you don't have enough of that other resource specifically.

There's not really much I could expand on, other than maybe allowing this to go the other way around (which would defeat the purpose of having the Emerald Merchants and the Liquid Merchant). What do you think?

Suppose you have 1 emerald block, and you need to buy something that costs 2 emerald blocks. You have a crap ton of liquid emeralds in your bank, but there's no liquid merchant in your city. That's when it gets annoying.

Well, Item Identifiers, Item Buyers and Powder Masters work different from normal buy-merchants. They use a different coding system to each one (identifier giving items stats, buyers giving the player a random amount of emeralds from the specified range, and powders updating the item with new elemental powers). This means that those three use a lot of emerald values in their coding system, while the merchants have a fixed value to buy the specific item, so convertion cannot be done with the merchants.

Ahmsord's bank isn't far away, maybe like 50 blocks. Eltom's bank is just in the middle of town, maybe 20 from the identifier.
