"I doubt they'll have enough fire to burn all of them."

 

Zarxik:"Okay so what happens to me?"

 

He thinks for a moment.
"I think I have a task for you to repay us, recently two of our hunters found a cave, after reporting back they went to check out what's inside. They haven't gotten back. I'd like you to check what happened to them."

 

Zarxik:"What's the reward?"

 

"Not getting killed."

 

Can I make an insight check to see if he's being serious?

Also here's a question. Could I have converted two first level spell slots into sorcery point while we were walking?

 

Wait is turning spell slots into sorcery points even possible?
And he's serious even though he's talking in a joking way.

 

Yeah it just uses a bonus action and I regain sorcery points equal to the spells lvl
