Mistral: “Sounds good to me, though I’d like to make a request.”
(Notes didn't go off sorry)
Gnome:"And that would be...?"
Heh ok yeah sugar jar sized.
I look towards the man.
“Are the jars full?”
Old man:"Yes I filled 'em myself."
I slide him five silver and open up a jar, checking.
Yeah it's full smells fishy.
And for a second you thought you saw an eye sink below the surface.
I nod, taking the jar.
Congrats you ruined my dreams of seeing an oil luancher.
But you have a jar of oil now.
so not all's lost.
(Douse hector for me)
I’ll do more than douse him.
I’ll show him the eye on the back of the gauntlet.
Mistral: “I’d like you to either keep that there, if possible. If not, paint a new one on there.”
Gnome:"Not a problem i'll be done within the next day or so."
Gnome:"Check back tomorrow, i should be done by then"
Good job on the friendly merchant.
I believe it was a common thing that lots of DM's use mean merchants.
I've dealt with unhappy shopkeepers irl it sucks.
Well then those people are stupid because then you won't come back, most shopkeepers I'll use are smart enough to understand that.
Usually a good tactic to get them to be nice is just to walk away, then they'll suddenly know English and stop speaking French.
This dude was straight up misrebale
Mistral: "Alright then. Have a good day sir."
I'll then go look for the other two.
