It would help if you would actually show us where the thing is on the map.

I cast Blind Spot on it, Wisdom saving throw.

I'm pretty sure that either way, it will have no idea it was affected by me.

I shoot three Eldritch Blasts from my halberd at the zombie.
Attack Roll 1: 18 + 6 = 24
Attack Roll 2: 17 + 6 = 23
Attack Roll 3: 10 + 6 = 16

I don't know which of these hit, so I'll roll damage for all of them.
Damage Roll 1: 8 + 2 = 10
Damage Roll 2: 5 + 2 = 7
Damage Roll 3: 4 + 2 = 6

 

All of them hit. So 23 damage. Roll initiative

 

14 - 1 = 13
