Pvp Campaign, Section 1. Spyro’s Party

I use a bonus action to spend 7 PSI on Augmented Strike, infusing my blades with lightning.

I nimbly dodge around the Tanarukk, striking from behind.

Attack: Natural fucking 20. This gon' be a lotta damage.

Damage: So, let's see. 2d8 from normal damage + 2d8 from potent psionics + 14d8 from Augmented strike + 4 dex + 2

7 + 2 + 8 + 6 + 4 dex + 2 = 29 psychic damage

(14d8) = 66 lightning damage

That's an easy KO, which I will make a non-lethal blow if possible.

I leap around the creature, driving the electrically charged soul knife into the back of its skull so that the electric current incapacitates it.


Would you rule that Consumptive Knife activates or do I need to actually kill it for that to apply?

 

I forgot Compelled Duel gives disadvantage, not stops attacks.

And it was probably going to miss due to Compelled Duel.

I got fed up with you guys' inability to form a coherent strategy and just got rid of the problem entirely. You still get what you really wanted, which is a chance to Geas it.

Although, the spell stalled him for a turn, meaning you could use a ranged attack to shoot at Orc 3 or Orc 5, and gotten an opportunity attack on him when he ran to attack an ally.

 

And thereby made the combat longer, thus perhaps leading to the deaths of more guards.

 

However, two of them would be unable to attack the guards on their turn, as opposed to the one now. As a result, there would be fewer casualties, provided we can take them out the following turn.

 

Look, the point is, IC I didn't want to deal with you and Anafenza's BS. You still get what you wanted, in the long run.

Orc 5 attacks and misses guard 2
Guard 4 moves

Anafenza moves and bombards Orc 5 with Eldritch Blasts.
Attack Roll 1: 1 + 6 = 7
Attack Roll 2: 8 + 6 = 14
Damage Roll 2: 3 + 2 = 5 damage.
Attack Roll 3: 5 + 6 = 11
