    You can’t throw it into the sinkhole if you can’t get on the same plane as the ship
    Also that’s the mechanics failsafe if the magical effects fail

    if i place enough bricks it'll eventually get to the astral plane, and if nothing enters or leaves, then I can grab it and chuck it into the sinkhole
