Guide Powdering Armor For Starters

• What powders to choose?

1) Tier 6 -
If you have very godly pieces and you are sure you won't get a better piece of that armor any time soon.

2) Tier 5 -
You shouldn't use it, either go for tier 4 or 6. Otherwise you'll be wasting money when you later decide to upgrade T5->T6

3) Tier 4 -
The cheapest decently useful powder that you can put on any armor or weapon without having to regret when deciding to change the powders later.

4) Tier 3 or less -
Anything below 4 is just plain useless so you're better off simply leaving the armor as it is (unpowdered). Only good thing that I can think of would be to build elemental resistance against low lvl bosses with certain elemental dmg.


• Reasons/tips behind powdering armory:

Before powdering your armor keep in mind, that unless you're having trouble killing bosses, farming mobs or just want to make a really refined build for pvp, there's no real need to use powders on armor.

You need the powder special, for example, 2x tier4+ gives concentration on armor pieces.
When you put 2 powders to get the special and the armor piece has more powder slots than required (3+), then either leave it empty or use it for elemental defence purposes (look at your el. def. on armor and accessories and select powder which helps you with countering the most negative or least positive element)

Powders can be useful for killing bosses.
E.g., Wybel is the last boss in the game and deals alot of neutral/thunder/fire dmg so thunder and fire powders give you some good elemental defence against him.


• How to farm powders?

Before starting to aquire them keep din mind, that there is no need to keep anything that is smaller than tier 3 (2 or 1).
It just wastes inventory both when farming, and later in your bank.
If you do already have those T1 or T2 powders though, then just convert them to tier 3 and throw the other T1 and T2 away.

1) Go lootrunning and try to find powders in chests
2) Visit the powder relics near Rodoroc
3) Farm mobs whereever you like
4) Buy them from players on the trade market
5) Participate in the item bomb events
