I mean the one ingredient pouch exists, and before that we had just a normal inventory. I think at one point banks had less pages and you had to carry arrows too. Right now we have a massive inventory compared to the past.

Appealing to the past doesn't mean it's good now.

    That being said, IDK boss.
Expanding the inventory has bigger consequences than you would think, mainly in that it directly influences the gameplay loop.
It dictates how long players can explore outside of town before having to return for example, as well as dictating what loot, and the management of that loot.
That being said, it's not as if you can't successfully change the gameplay loop, or make a "Bigger Inventory" suggestion that manages to improve it, but it is hard to do.
For that reason, however, I can only ever see someone with extensive knowledge of what Salted's goal with the gameplay loop actually is, making an even somewhat decent suggestion, which is why I'm always opposed to these threads. If someone can make a 'expand inventory' or 'backpack' suggestion, that manages to dive deep into the different consequences their suggestion has on the game, as well as justifying it inside of the gameplay loop, then go ahead, but simply making a suggestion that says "Pls expand inventory" isn't going to cut it.

"Back in my day, we walked ten miles to our single page bank and back, with no walkspeed gear or ingredient pouch, in the snow, with stack of random arrows because archer was stupid, uphill both ways!"

But seriously, while I do appreciate and approve of bigger banks, bigger inventories makes a much bigger difference, especially in regards to inflation. Even a few slots allows a lot more emeralds to enter the economy each day.

I seemingly worded this terribly as I meant that our inventory has been made bigger more than enough times so it doesn’t need to be bigger than it is now.

The amount of items in Wynn has increased as a natural function of time, but our inventory space does not reflect that. New bank pages are ludicrously expensive (Say it with me: We should not be dropping Mythic's worth of LE just so that we have enough space for quest items), the amount of items we can haul out during lootruns has increased (More LB/LQ has seen to this), and the ingredient pouch acts more of a conduit for reagents to travel from our lootruns into our banks.
But the total amount of items we can store has stagnated, which is an obvious problem.

Personally, I believe we need to see the following:
    • Exponential reduction in bank page cost
    • Separate, stackable storage for quest items
    • Fixing item stacking bugs where identical items won't stack
    • Making "Dump All" correctly stack items
    • Letting materiels be stored in the Ingredient Pouch
You'll notice that I didn't suggest increasing the Player's inventory in any way, and this is deliberate. While I would love to see an "Emerald Pouch" we can use to store Emeralds, any increase of the sort would be cause for inflation- if you can carry more treasure during looting sprees, it stands to reason prices would increase.
If flat out reducing bank page costs by insane amounts sounds too unreasonable, then allow me to suggest integrating bulk storage into housing! This would encourage Players to create lovely homes and to gather the wood nessacary for the chests, item frames, and armor stands. The amount of chests you can place on your island would be limited to your level.

No, I understood it prefectly well.
You're using a logical fallacy known as the appeal to tradition. Stating that its how something used to be, or that its been changed before, doesn't mean that somethings current state is the best possibility.
