Quest Please Change/remove The Green Gloop Quest

It sucks. That's the thick of it.

Basically if you haven't done this quest (i dont blame you)
you have to: Go to Eluzterp (wot kinda name is that lol) and he tells you to yodbon to get a slime scooper. Then begins the 20 minute grind of getting 5 soft sand from the nearby "shifting sandpile" mobs and then bringing it back. Then you use the slime scooper to go into the cave the Eluzterp was next to. You preceed to go down it, kill the slimes at the entrance for 5 minutes, realize you have to go to the bottom of the cave, get it while being piled on by the slimes and then walk back to Eluzterp (there isnt even a tp exit ) and finish the quest. Yes it sucks
Edit: For people at the soft sand part there is an absolutely insane grind spot in the hole at 914 -2166. However this isn’t a solution to the quest, and the hole’s existence should be shown more obviously.

 

+1, I think it needs a rework of some kind, at the very least changing the soft sand part.

The spawnrates of the sandpiles have been buffed, and they weren't particularly rare before either. While the quest is certainly very barebones, it's serviceable and you can at least get a decent necklace for free when you finish the quest- The glassblower merchant will turn a leftover Slime Scooper into a necklace. I wouldn't mind it getting remade in any extent, but to just remove it would leave a small quest gap, which I can't say I approve of.

 

Yeah, well I recently did the quest and I could feel no difference in the shifting sandpile spawns. In fact, it still took me 15 minutes to get them all. I don’t think it should be removed either; just replaced by something completely different.
Thanks to the changes to Bob’s lost soul, it’s now one of the only “fetch” quests in the game (exc recipe for disaster as the whole point of the quest is fetching, but made fun.)

Definitly agree that the quest needs a rework after looking at the wiki, a few things to consider is:

- Making getting the soft sand easier to find, its so hard to get
- Adding a bit more lore into the quest
- Remove the part where you need to gather the green gloop and replace it with a boss of some sort that you need to fight, and make it like "oh now that that thing was gone, we should be able to gather it easier now"
- The first place where you go to talk about the glass (the shop, yebons glassblowing brewery or whatever) should be the same place as where you go to buy the stuff afterward (could be a similar system to how Ava's workshop functions, where its different each time you go in.

Problem is: in my experience, the slime scooper goes bye bye when you complete the quest, so I've never gotten the chance to actually turn it into a necklace lol
