People Trying To Steal Items.

My friend was a victim of this, only that instead of accidentally dropping his stuff, someone did a PMI on him in Ahmsord when he was Afk, causing him to lose all of his stuff including a near perfect Mementos, his royal stormy amulet and basically all his other armour, weapons, and emeralds that he was carrying...

It's sad really, but in this world, there is bound to be greedy people who are willing to cause someone grief for their own gains.

 

I feel like Wynncraft should implement a system whereby if you attempt to drop a weapon then a confirmation message appears in chat. I know it's possible as I've seen many prison servers do it, and it would help cut down on people having their items stolen.

I feel bad for you, but I hope you understand that if you didn't get it during that moment you won't be getting it back most likely, as anonymity on the Internet means people can act like scumbags all they want with no consequences whatsoever.

Let's say I drop my wallet on the ground and it takes me 15 seconds to notice before some cunt picks it up 5 seconds before I can walk back and pick it up again.
That person doesn't want or ignores my request to give it back. Wouldn't you say that person is a thief ? Does it require immediate reaction on your part for the idiot to be classified as a thief ?
In fact, I know in France it's illegal to pick up stuff from the ground before doing a thorough search and handing it to the police.
So yes, you'd be a thief.

 

I really have to disagree with this. I myself have always given items back and been honest in Wynn, but I really do have to say that I understand people that aren't.
This is, just as you said, only a video game. It means nothing. It SHOULD mean nothing anyways.
Lost an item? Too bad, it was just virtual anyways. Get over it. Found an item? Oh nice, since this is the internet no1 will ever know how you got it and from who. I mean you could give it back, but there is no loss in not doing so.
Not all people are decent anyways, have you ever heard about what is going on in the world? This isn't a fantasy world with a certain set of rules that everyone has to follow. This is a world with both good and bad. I don't blame the bad people, you can just hope they will do better some day (or go through the same shit they made someone else go through). If anyone still thinks that there is such a thing that can be considered as "wrong" in a virtual game, I think you should just stop gaming altogether. The assholes are everywhere, you can't hide from them.

Just... no. If someone walked up to me right now and said he stole 5 mythics from laggy people, I wouldn't give a single fuck. It's virual currency. I wouldn't even tell the owners if I happened to know them as that guy who took them wouldn't give a shit anyways. You can't simply mark people as thiefs by a thing they do ONLINE. I myself have taken stuff in other games than wynn and not once felt bad about it, the same has been done to me. It's not real money.

Well, I guess it's like the lore, how villagers/humans are driven only by greed. I once dropped my 7/4s mana regen aquarius, and my 4/4s mana regen third eye, and someone stole it, but then he gave them back :)

Even if it is a game we are still playing it with real people, who somewhere in the world would be just as upset as another...
Personally I couldn't bring myself to be different on the internet, just because you cant see their face doesn't mean someone else isn't affected...

Also, notice that Weapon has been re-rolled twice..
Not only would it be expensive to re-roll again but it would turn into a 3, so even if it was re-IDd there would be some record of it...
Granted any Apoc can be re-rolled 3 times but those chances are a bit slim between the people that were there...

i also lost a maxed out speed set (33 aries, 26% booster, 20% saggi, 33% almuj walkers, x2 15% or 20% raging winds, 13% contrail and cyclone amulet) 6 months ago which was valued at around 8 stackish or more when speed sets were in a high demand also the cause of me losing the speed set was because someone legit gathered some mobs to kill me while I was afk in rodoroc, and that was on my second class created (archer ;-;) and i recently lost (like 1 month ago or so) 50 stacks of le (wont tell the reason) ;)

but im not complaining since you can always get the stuff back by farming/trading/etc

Back when the cap was 75 and there was only one endgame set, a guy dropped some Adamantites while grinding. I gave them back.
There's never an excuse to be greedy, especially when you're roleplaying as the protagonist trying to stop it.

 

You're rummaging through your purse, your wallet falls out. A guy comes and takes it. Who is to be blamed.

You're in a crowded train station, and you drop something of enormous sentimental and monetary value.
It is also how you make your living.
In the scuffle of every day life, it immediately gets lost among the footsteps.
Someone picks it up, but you don't know who.
You ask everyone if they have it and to give it back, so they know it belongs to you.
The man who took it denies seeing it, and you go on your way.
This man later sells it for its massive monetary value and becomes rich off of your item.

 

everyone is making to big a deal over this. this thread is just a massive witchhunt I think at least 1/2 of these ppl on this thread stole something aswell. It sad that you lost an apoc, and i sympthasize (rip my 40/40 white horse). but this thread is just out of control.
