API stands for Application Programming Interface. It is a way in which third party developers can get public information about our network. Example data includes a player’s statistics or different ingredients in game. The API merely reads data that is public.

The API does not change the data. Therefore, any issue in-game is not caused by the API. Issues often thought to be API related but are not include name changes, xp issues, and leveling issues.

    API Bug Reporting:

    • Discussing / sharing any vulnerabilities or bugs that can be used to exploit the API, our platforms, or the data of our users is against our rules. If you discover such a vulnerability or bug, please private message @colin350 on the forums.
    • Report non-exploitable API bugs at https://github.com/Wynncraft/WynncraftAPI/issues

I'm kind of curious about what an exploitable API bug would be.

Probably just something that allows you to get around the request limit and allows you to ddos them, that's the only thing I can think of
