I got bored and wanted to see how many points I could get with a level 15 tank and this happened



What am I doing with my life

 

You seem to be doing it right, whatever it was! Now, were you accumulating dozens of kills, or were you just feeding off of shapes?

 

Pretty impressive, although I have to say that TDM makes it easier. If you want a real challenge, do FFA, where you cant count on your team to protect you while you farm middle.

Personally for the Local Highscore thing we should have separate ones for FFA and TDM @Plasma Dragonite

Finally got an in-game glimpse of one of the Bosses. I think that they ought to have an arrow pointing to whatever boss there may be currently, and have a notification stating when it's killed as well as when it's spawned. And said arrow would work the exact same as for leaders, and would be each boss's color.

Also, the Fallen Booster's bullets aren't really a cause for concern at all.

 

Yeah, it seems to be like me, a ramming tank.

 

There was a new boss added today, although I'm not going to spoil it for people who want to find it themselves. If you want to know, just visit diepio wikia.

Also there are now four team games for team gamemodes.
I don't know how I feel about these. They tend to be a bit more like FFA than just regular TDM, as you have 3/4 of the game as your enemies instead of 1/2. But they are also pretty cluttered.

I would also like to note that in Mothership, only Blue and Red have motherships, Brown and Purple teams seem to just be third parties.

 

Why, exactly, is this happening in FFA matches?

 

The lobby cant stay up forever. At some point, it has to close. I don't know how long it usually takes, but I've only ever seen it like three times before.

 

Yesterday, I had the privilege of battling the Guardian.



Let's just say I didn't pick the right tank. My reload was fine, yes, but I wasn't very capable of outmaneuvering the Crashers(the wikia has given them that name), and they always kept getting between my tank and my barrel, so I wasn't able to deal with them. Also, the crashers seriously cushioned all the hits I dealt, so it was hard to actually hurt the Guardian.

Heeeey, prayers answered.







Now, today I had run into the Summoner. Much the same deal as the Guardian, except the drones spawn all over the boss, and they're a little bit tougher. This time around, still being the Ranger, I had invested a little in Body Damage to alleviate some of the suffering caused by the drones, since I still had that problem of the drones being unreachable behind my barrel.



One time after being killed, I decided to pursue the Predator instead. The multi-bullets proved really effective in ripping through the shroud of drones. Also, the focus camera was handy for scouting out ahead and looking around for the Summoner, since I was being shot down frequently by folks who apparently couldn't give a #$@%&!@# about the boss.



Eventually, I had shifted to the Streamliner, invested a considerable amount in Bullet Speed(the streamliner's bullets happen to be quite slow, i'll let you know), and exchanged quicker Health Regen for higher Max Health, so the drones wouldn't bother me that much. With this tank, I was able to sweep side to side and eliminate scores of the Summoner's minions from any angle, as well as bringing the hammer down on folks who were trying to distract me from the hunt.

I was at this for hours and I must've died at least six times. And I didn't even have the killing shot.

Other tanks only started to swarm around the Summoner when its health had plummeted, and it was a Booster who was credited with destroying it once and for all. And I couldn't even have my revenge.



God DAMMIT, do I hate those bottomfeeders.





Asshats aside, I think that with the proper build, all three of these tanks are great for challenging the Guardian and Summoner. The Ranger had a massive field of view to attack without all the drones following, the Predator had its substantial penetration and its focus camera, and the Streamliner had its rapid-fire obliteration. Movement Speed isn't too vital here, and what you need is something that can rip through the drones and keep the boss's regen down, while swiftly dispatching any enemies that try to distract you from the boss.

Too bad these things are impossible to kill as a ram build. I ran into the Defender and the Fallen Overlord both the other day, but I was playing a ram take so I really couldn't do anything other than get screenshots.

 

Today, I tried again with the same Streamliner build I had developed yesterday.



With MUCH better results!

Something else great that happened: that Booster you see there was so very kind as to kite the drones around while I finished the Summoner off! Thank you very much, who/wherever you are!

I got to level 44 as the Overseer the other day.

Guess what happened.

I lost connection to the game.

 

Oohh... new dominator types?
There are now Trapper and Gunner Dominators, as well as the Destroyer-like original dominators.
Also, if youre quick, you can hit "H" when a Dominator is taken by your team to take control of it. Pray that its not a Trapper-like on though.

 

trapper is my favorite to control, you don't have to aim basically

 

Still, it's not so swell for actually killing enemy tanks...

 

Which means you really just sit there with auto spin and auto fire on, waiting until you win or die.

 

I was in a round and I survived for 1 hour and 17 minutes and 48 seconds, no screenshot because I accidentally clicked f4

 

Just because you were alive that long, doesn't mean you got any kills, though.
