Yes, but having some spell damage is still useful for quick burst damage if you don't plan on using high -spell%. Especially if you are using a powder special like curse or courage. Mashing quick spells during powder specials can give a huge boost, even for melee builds. If you're earth/thunder then yes it won't matter. I genuinely have never heard of anyone using wind prison though.

i mean ig but that honestly kinda just sounds like some gimmicky exceptional scenario people come up with to validate a certain point lol
anyway if you do actually have that much -spell you probably have the appropriate amount of melee dps to make up for it or else people wouldn't rly use melee builds then lmao

I agree. I was mostly concerned by the -mana steal over the -spell%. Spell vs melee is also down to preference, and as I already said earlier:
