    Eh, destroying currency reduces the money supply, which causes deflation, which decreases spending, which lowers prices, while also lowering demand for products yet simultaneously raising the demand for money. It's an odd cycle.

    I could be wrong on one of those details though. I didn't listen very well in my Macroeconomics class xD
