Thanks for providing me with that; guess I'll have to switch out Cancer.

Or you could just use the Hive Daggers, which have no Skill Point reqs.
I still disagree with Air being effective due to the fact of diminishing returns, where each skill point provides less % into dodge chance the more you put into it, and now air requires FULL investment to be of really any use, and I feel those points are much better spent elsewhere.

 

Personally I prefer hitting and moving fast, but since the skill points system change, it's pretty flexible and still usable if you invest in other areas.

 

I heard cancer increased tier attack speed, true?
And how would cancer ever be strong?

 

Cancer maxes out attack speed tier, but nullifies damage by conventional means. It forces you to look elsewhere for damage sources...such as the massive 3200 poison it gives you? Combine that with other powerful poison items such as Poison Touch, Rotten Wood, etc...the trick is getting high strength to maximize the effectiveness of those poison items, which Cancer goes against. It forces a strange playstyle, but it's not at all useless or weak.

 

So, in theory, if you ran cancer with a really high damage item like magnus. And somehow get a lot of melee damage back... you will destroy everything?

 

Or combine it with Roulette and Taurus for insanity.

 

So poison items/slow hard hitting items are best on cancer, correct?

 

Taurus and Cancer cancel each other out. Taurus minimizes attack speed tier in exchange for massive attack boosts while Cancer does the opposite. You'd still end off at a net loss in ability if you combined them.

 

Only items with % melee increase can possibly deal damage with cancer. Hence why it's great with Roulette.

Changing Tank Assassin to Mostly-pure-DPS Assassin.

 

Well, im working on a build where you have Taurus, Cancer and Roulette. Why Cancer? well, it gives so much poison.... And you counter the negative melee dammage with Roulette, Taurus gives +1000 melee dammage, and the countered melee % dammage is around 900%.... so 1000*900%=9K dammage per hit, and Roulette is a super fast weapon... With this build you have -1 tier attackspeed if you have bad luck, but you have a super fast weapon.. means it verry fast??? Im just looking to get some good leggings, boots and rings etc :).

(Some values may be wrong, the item guide doesn't show the %, for example Cancer, but i saw a screen of cancer, so that one is +- correct, depends on you ID-luck)

And the agility requirements are not on the screenshot now, but its all 0 for now....
(Yes, i need to get 5 more points from items in dex so you can wear Cancer, but as i said... it isnt finished YET)

 

This actually looks like a really cool concept, except the problem I have is that once you use 180 skill points just for requirements for Cancer + Taurus, there's not really anything you can put them into after. There's also the fact that Dexterity and Strength don't stack onto each other, so you have a ~35% chance to do 65% damage rather than 2x, which is a bit detrimental compared to being able to use spells more or being able to take more hits.

 

I agree, but the fact you can deal over 10K dammage with just one basic attack... and you have -1 attackspeed, but you use a super_fast weapon, so i think it feels like you have a verry vast weapon? From Super to verry is in tier? Or am i completely wrong?
And yes, you could invest those skillpoints better and not use cancer, and deal a 100% extra melee dammage, but remember.... Cancer is one of the few items with rediculous attackspeed that 'counters' taurus negative attackspeed, and Cancer has so much poison.....

So, ofcourse I didn't test this, I'm only level 74 now, and i dont have Cancer, Taurus or Roulette. If you can test this build, will you do it? And will you tell me if it works? I really hope this works..... :)

 

In addition, strength increases the potency of poison at the same rate it increases melee and earth damage dealt.

 

So you deal even more than 10K dammage with this build... \o/ And every1 was saying assassin is bad and buggd... well, here you have a build thats insane.. (<-- if it works)

Yes its expensive, Cancer and Taurus are legendary items.. Roulette is Rare...
