Nice Config, Mind Making It Actually Work Though?

I really do commend you on your ability to make very nice looking builds, but the more I come back here the more abhorrently obvious it is that you guys have absolutely no idea what you're doing in terms of balance and gameplay mechanics. Making things look nice =/= good gameplay.

So lets just go off the basis of what you've got going right now and work from there, comparing class by class:

Assassin:
I honestly see no point in even using this class right now. You have it so ridiculously weak that there's no point in even trying to level it when you can just use the other classes that have much stronger spells and mobility formats.

Need I remind you that this class is promised in selection the absolute highest damage in the game, and a pretty high amount of defense as well. The downside is meant to be its lack of range and lack of extreme mobility.

So why, I ask, would you give it a spin attack (which is barely that great in the first place in concept) that paralyzes for an extremely minute amount of time, uses up the hunger bar quickly, and does an average amount of damage. Why would you give the class a multihit move that does such low damage that it's pointless to even use in the first place, 15% per hit for 10 hits? Possibly the most pathetic spell I've ever seen in an mmo. I could literally do higher damage just whacking it with a basic attack. The only thing making the move worth while at all is the ability to move the enemy, but why is that useful at all when the player can already move themselves with vanish for lower amount of energy and time wasted. Vanish is the only move in Assassin right now that isn't utter garbage. Smokebomb is a joke now, you had already nerfed assassins literal assassination move, and made the class so pointless to use that the only real damage and effect spell left was the one that's meant to be defensive. Smokebomb is dissipated so dramatically now that it's not even aesthetically a smokebomb, and it doesnt even do much to help the class itself now. Now for a comparison. You advertise this class with 5 bars on the damage scale, and yet in a simple 2 minutes of testing with the exact same items transverse between classes, an Oak bow was killing level 7 zombies with base attack in half the amount of hits that it takes the Assassin class to do so. The fact that assassin has a faster attack speed is completely useless compared to Archers ability to fire off spells that do insanely high damage, and attack from extreme range alongside having possibly the highest mobility offered in the game.

Mage:
Good god, a meteor that slams down in 2.5 and does 400% damage? Are you out of your ever loving minds?! Mage already has the ability to slow things down from range, heal itself for huge amounts of health lost, and a highly spammable escaping spell. I don't even know how to talk about this class other than that because of how innately broken it is.


Warrior:
Eh, Warriors pretty fine right now.

Archer:
Oh god where do I start. It has a spell that launches it extremely far away, blinds and does damage, and gives speed 3 all at once?! I'm at a loss for words. At least make it do less than the 100% damage because thats absolutely ridiculous. Arrowstorm? a trifecta of arrows doing 20% damage and firing out 60 arrows? You dont even have to be playing the game to know that doesn't make sense, especially when the class is already virtually untouchable since it can leap pretty much anywhere and shoot down from there. Bomb arrow does an insanely high amount of damage, just like meteor. Coupled with the fact that it's spammable, and carries over elemental damage, you can basically use it to nearly oneshot any normal mob you're fighting, especially if you utilize the bouncing that it can perform. I dont even understand what Arrowshield is meant to be. How often do you use a bow class in a game and think: Gee, I wonder what a long range damage class should have for spells... Oh! I got it! How about a spell that shoots arrows up out the ground in close range around them and knocks things back far away and shoots out a ring of arrows!| I'm guessing the answer is never. Archer is long range, why are you giving it one out of 3 damage spells being a close range knockback spell. If anything, it should be a snipe spell that does high damage and has long range. I dont even know where to go with this, it makes no sense as a spell.

Altogether:
The server is extremely boring now, theres very little interesting to do and adding build expansions without extremely diverse gameplay mechanics does little more than make players docile for another month or two. You need to bring forward actual effort to balance your server, new mechanics and possibly even spells, and even further possibly even new classes altogether. The current set up isn't cutting it in terms of making the game fair for everyone that joins and keeping gameplay interesting even when not questing. Get your act together.

Then how about you put 10 seconds of thought into posting why you think it's "backwards and dumb"? Like, "uhh hey y'know I've been here for a while now and I've had lots of experience with all the classes so I kinda think that X is actually okay and Y should be changed in another way because XYZ" instead of plaguing the General Suggestions section with one line responses that have no meaning or value behind them

Going to reiterate here: These kinds of threads don't deserve thought-out responses. Threads that have little to no thought put into them deserve little to no thought in response.

 

I see your point with assassin. They damage is too low to make it worthwhile. I think that the mana cost is the real problem. Either they need cheaper spells, or they need higher damage. I would prefer if we don't return to the days of 1000% multi hits tho.

I don't see what you're getting at. I took the information directly from the wynncraft class explanation area on the website, and from testing them in game. This is an mmorpg minecraft server, there isn't some well researched database for me to just go in to and grab sourced information to link you to. If you think I'm wrong, make 4 classes of each class, then do exactly what I did and test their damage output with the same ranked weapon at the same level with the same stats. Otherwise, provide meaningful information and keep your insanely counterproductive comments out of it

 

Sure it does. If thinking is ranting about random shit you don't like and saying the hard-working content team is terrible at their job. Like, come on, this thread is basically "Everything is shit and it should change, i don't care how many years of work were put into it." except for the warrior part which is literally "Eh idc"

 

People put time into things, I'm sure everyone understands and respects that to an extent, but does that equate to me automatically having to enjoy it? Why not I dunno like say what you think would make it better instead of just "oh hey they worked on this a lot I guess we should just all like it"
