It has to be easy to find though, otherwise it's not much of a tutorial. There could still be a puzzle of some kind there, but the way I see it there will be some kind of ruin that gives hints at discoveries in the area

There is the word "secret". I understamd it has to be easy, but buildimg a "giant sign pointing to the discovery so no one misses it" kind of ruins the point. Easy? Yes. Obvous so you have no chance of missing it? No

It's not like a game can have a secret tutorial, though. Sure, the idea of a giant fortress is a little extreme but since it's a tutorial there has to be some kind of pointer towards it.

Agree, but having a giant colloseum you cannot even somehow miss that gives you seceet doscovery right when you walk in is bad.

If you had to e.g. throw items on 3 pressure plates to open a semi-hidden entrace yes, that would be good. Not "how the ... you managed to miss it" but not "how the .... did you find it"

yeah, but some discoveries are like that anyway, such as the water mill one near maltic, maltic's house, the one in the tower of amnesia's twin, nivla's towers. If you think that the people on the emerald trail are playing for the first time, they'll just pass it and think its another ruin, therefore it has to be eye-catching so they visit it. In addition, its gonna be obvisous to us since we'll clearly notice the change as we've played the game before.

Those aren't like "HEY, I AM HERE GET THE DISCOVERY"

Again, the word "secret" exists. I am ok with it being like a ruin nearby that must have a not-so-obvious way in, but again, "go in and find clearly visible button to open even more visible door" is just too much. Also it doesn't say much about other discoveries for newbies...

Having a "tutorial" secret discovery sounds like a good idea. Completing the four towers is actually fairly long, and Wynn Plains has by far the hardest to find discoveries, both on average and for the entire region.

Yeah i get what you mean but to be fair we don't even know how/what it'll be; I only just noticed a new/changed ruin in the background of the guys video. As a lot of people have said it is probably just to give people awareness that they exist
