SPOILER New Province?

If it doesn't have technology, what does it mean by advanced? And where did Corkus, a separatist province from Fruma, get their 'industrial magic' from?

 

I personally don't think it's Corkus; he's calling it a province, and Corkus is really just an island. That could just be messy terminology though.

Does it say anywhere that Corkus has closed borders, though? I thought that was one of the reasons the separatists left.

 

I mean, we could relate it to real life; we didn't need magic to spark an era of technology :P

I mean, since it's invite-only, we could reasonably infer that Corkus would have closed borders. Also, it doesn't appear on the map, giving further evidence that they took great pains to hide themselves from those that they deem foreigners, not knowing if they were spies from Fruma or not. Corkus was created from separatists who lived in fear and the shadow of Fruma, so they might have built their civilization on the belief that Fruma was always out to get them, and thus present day :P

 

My point was that there's nothing saying it does, hence proof against this being about Corkus.

 

are you kidding. I never said it didnt have technology i just said it wasnt it's main feature -_- and if you read the lore, it said they got it themeselves

 

So I guess it's between Corkus and and another unconfirmed province.
I think we can discount Dern; I believe that Fantastic Voyage made Dern out to be a dark and desolate place.
Again, this is all speculation; we won't really know until the admins add to the official lore themselves.

Magical power, nowhere does it mention machinery in the province.

 

So they recently confirmed Corkus as an island that's like steampunk based (industrial magic). It was formed by a group of people who wanted to separate from the evil monarch in Fruma.

It says the island of Corkus was colonized by separatists from Fruma, it didn't say that this part of the ocean is actually in Fruma itself.

Yes, it doesn't mention the type of machinery that Fruma possesses, but it does for Corkus.
