New Player Here. Archer Or Assassin?

Archer is fun because of high dmg and long range, assassin is easier (vanish is op), has similar dmg but is low range class
I played on both and imo archer is more fun

what would these be? the only ones I can think of are recover the past & kings recruit

there's not really a good running theme quests like you see in a game like fallout new vegas. Yes, there's questlines and things that talk about world history like RoL 5, but wynns lore isn't what I would call consice

 

RoL and AJB/AJF

 

I'd say some of the dungeon quests in Wynn such as Fate of the Fallen and Lost Sanctuary, as well as The Sewers of Ragni, count as the main storyline, but overall the Corruption part of it is a bit more piecemeal.

 

The problem is, those are mainly isolated to their perspective regions. Sewers of Ragni - Ragni and war, Fate of the Fallen - Theorick and Nesaak

They enrich the world in (amazing) ways, but they are not a part of some "main" storyline. There is your path as a soldier, but it is fragmented into individual quests. The closest to "central storyline" is RoL vs Dern stuff (with RoL and SE questlines respectively).
