    Tis why they shouldn't have made this bow. People complained about cataclysm, now they'll complain about the 15k minimum bombs of this meme. Seriously, item team wasn't even thinking.

    You realize its not all about damages right? Ever tried playing archer without ANY agility? Most of the people complaining about it being OP are the ones who didn't test it yet, we all are too used to being able to avoid at least 1/4 of the hits, but with this bow, you take all of them, no chance of avoiding any kind of hits...

    I in fact, have tested it. I also in fact, use a spring build with zero agility, so I know the risks. I also in fact, am used to receiving 4/4 of the hits. I even used Cataclysm and found it very overpowered. Still do. The fact that this bow with glass can do 15k minimum to ~30k bombs is very good for a bow, even slightly overpowered. You have to look at the dps, in the context. Over 700 raw melee, not to mention people will use slayer with it, and almost 500 raw spell damage. Considering people abuse raw spell at the moment, this will make the bow even worse. In fact, this bow has even more dps than grandmother, which can become an issue. Yes you have no chance of dodge, but if your used to that, and have skill enough to escape and bomb spam like archer is suppose to be used, you don't need it, which is an issue. No offense Khaps, but don't hit on someone you don't know a thing about, it makes things worse for yourself.

    And, as an added bonus, I believe the cap is ~600 life steal. We all know how op grimtrap was with it's lifesteal, same goes for here.

    Archer can only hit one mob at a time so it's significantly less powerful.

    Would you like us to apologize for introducing an end game thunder bow? Archer has the highest base damage due to it being the glassiest class and this makes archer an actual glass cannon. Cataclysm's downside can be built around and avoided entirely, whereas this can't.

    I agree. The glassiest build in the game should give the highest damage, shouldn't it? This bow leaves archer to rely on defense skill points to make up for the entire lack of dodge but due to Archer's shit base defense, this isn't quite effective.

    Heavy charge.
    Heavy teleport.
    Pull.
    Push.
    Vanish.
    Especially flamethrower.
    You can't manually dodge every attack. Perhaps from normal mobs, but if we look at the bow in the context of end game challenges then you're going to get hit. And when you do, it hurts.

    What cap are you talking about..? There isn't a cap for lifesteal. But either way, why are you referencing the slower attack speed multiple target weapon to the single target faster projectile? They're not comparable and pre-nerf grimtrap didn't even have any downsides.

    For the Id's of the weapon- Having a cap of about 600 LS bonus.
    I personally think LS makes weapons very op, as it gives you the ability to heal yourself considerably fast without the need for potions. The way I compare items is base on their playstyle and viability, while keeping in mind the benefits you get off the weapon. Grimtrap gives loads of damage *pre-pre-nerf* while having loads of benefits such as lifesteal and poison, not to mention a bit of cactus, while having little to no downsides. Quite frankly the weapon still has no drawbacks, as mana steal does not affect melee damage or the concept in general (Do note it of course affects your mana, which may contribute to movement, other than that it has no downside whatsoever). On top of this, that 'puny' 3/4 is often countered by builds, which makes the weapon practically one-sided.

    Regardless of this, I compare it to Divzer as both weapons are *almost* alike in the fact that they give many bonuses, without the large drawback. Yes, Divzer has insane negative agility, but, nothing some skill with the class can't fix. The bow gives +1tier, loads of dexterity *More than the dex cap permits even* loads of raw bonuses, practically no RNG for dmg range, and to what end? Well, simply the fact that anyone and their mom can run you over with the knowing you'll get hit each time.
    Of which a good timed escape can dodge, but no one really has that skill. Also, if you switch to a different weapon, all the agility you have with your build kicks in, so if you do get hit, you can gain back your 150 agility quickly and have that potential to dodge the attacks. when creating weapons, i'm not saying this a fault, but you need to look at every possible playstyle for said item.
    Indeed it should, yet it needs to be balanced out. If your 1-shotting everything the glass won't matter, as the opponent won't have a chance to even hit you. Time-To-kill should be considered in balancing (if you don't already do this)
    Goodness no, you folks just build the strangest concepts is all. I am actually a HUGE fan of the negative agility, I find it limits you for strictly, and makes players less a scumbag abusing the element. I would even go as far as to say putting negative agility on all thunder weapons (Not Az, isn't needed) to help balance them out a bit.

    So basically Divzer is a very high skill cap weapon, that can - if used to its fullest extend - have an extremely high damage output. I think thats a good end game weapon and we can all live with that or?

    Well you see there's this ability that archer has called Arrow Shield and it kinda sorta completely counters all of that, save for the flamethrower.

    my spring build has no agility and can solo every war and does an easy up to 16k arrow bombs. defense is better than agility anyways (ophiuchus op)

    its easier to get spring's req without agi and then be effective about it than divzer coz intel is easier for combo in terms of everything than dex, eg. you only need to build intel def for it to be effective while divzer still needs intel and def on top of 125 dex.... i dont think i need to explain why the comparison isnt that direct

    Base damage ≠ DPS, and the latter is the only one that matters because it’s out much damage you’re actually dishing out. I’ve never seen an archer build do more than 15k bombs without mythics or without powder specials, (and that’s being generous, the average bomb damage is ~10k from what I’ve seen.) Meanwhile, most assassin builds can manage 20k mulitihits following the restrictions from before.

    15k bombs at max without rage, not too bad.

    Now, let’s compare that to the same build, but with hive dagger.

    As you can see, the minimum multihit damage is roughly the same as the maximum bomb damage, and with critical chance, satisfies the 20k quota I mentioned earlier, along with the fact that smoke bomb is (arguably) much better than arrow storm

    Tl;dr: Assassin has the highest average dps, which matters more than base damage, while archer specializes in range

    But... Bomb Arrow takes as long as it takes to click 3 times and arrow travel time, while Smoke Bomb takes casting time AND 4.5 seconds for all nine hits (correct me if im wrong) AND the smoke bomb resets if you throw another.

    Potions are faster unless you build it up massively such as apocalypse with heat sink etc. Potions are 100% faster for divzer due to it being single target as well as a low chance of activation.

    It's a downside nevertheless. It hurts your spell output (which I person find to be grimtrap's strong suit but obviously still utilizing melee) and it'll hurt the ability to stunlock or access good mobility within vanish when meleeing.

    Divzer has three large drawbacks, grimtrap has one and they're not the same playstyle. You seem to be underestimating how much things hurt when you can't dodge it. Especially on archer.

    Sure, it one shot regular mobs but that's not even remotely close to an accomplishment. It doesn't one shot end game bosses which are really the only test of builds in the game.

    It's a concept that hasn't been done to this extent. It's something that I'd like mythics to have. Uniqueness. It's there to force you into playing the glassiest type of build in the game.

    Ah, a blatant issue that we would fix if we had the power to do so. I'd go as far as to say this is abuse of a lack of mechanics. Your main weapon's effects should be active. Being able to swap off for a split second to gain the effects of another or to lose the effect of your current is frankly quite stupid. Prime examples of this are warp and bonder. Losing insane drawbacks or gaining insane buffs by holding something for a split second.

    Archer has the highest DPS because you're excluding arrow storm. Arrow storm requires you get up close to get the full damage, but if you do then it absolutely shreds bosses. Archer has the highest DPS if you include this. The issue is getting close to complete arrow storms is extremely risky and practically relies on agility so you can dodge hits. For example with morph freedom I just walk up to a boss and spam arrow storm and bomb arrow because I have 149 agility and some good defense as well.

    A super fast and super slow weapons might have the same DPS, but if both are fire thunder, which will kill cybel and which will fail. Also you are not actually using dps in these examples, you are using spell multipliers, which is another topic entirely

    You also say that smoke bomb is (arguably) better than arrow storm but give no actual arguments

    I personally wouldn't call negative water/fire damage a drawback, as everyone will build thunder with it. Though in the case of spells you will lose that extra 500 damage or so for element perks on the spells, doesn't mean that much when your doing 15k average anyways.

    All the same, I'll still find it an overpowered but interesting weapon.

    They have the same spell multiplier. The difference is arrow storm has a much faster completion time.

    The point is that you use build thunder with. Fatal can use curse or courage. So can az. So can thrunda. In fact, for all of these, they're objectively better specials than chain lightning.

    That information is outdated. Smoke Bomb deals 540% damage total.

    Pre-Gavel however, each smokescreen could hit an enemy individually for its damage, meaning they all stacked up to a 3x multiplier.

    The negative fire and water damage is to prevent the usage of Curse and Courage, as you'll directly be harming your DPS by doing so.
