World New Id: Resilience

I'm suggesting a new identification to help balance out poison and even spell damage. While spell damage is not too op, poison is a major problem in terms of balancing.What Resilience can do is resist damage from magical damage meaning poison will be included and even thorns and reflection could also be included in this new ID. Resilience doesn't only work on players, it also works on mobs as well if they have any spells or maybe thorns, reflection, or poison in the future (if added of course).

My suggestion:
Resilience will be a % modifier and not a base modifier like defense is. There will be a soft cap of 80% so that poison, cactus, and spell damage isn't completely pointless. For armor with resilience, there will be a common theme of lowering defense or elemental defense, this helps balance out the ID so a build with high resilience will be weak to melee or elemental damage. Max damage is calculated first then goes through the resilience ID.

Here's an example of how this ID would work:
Mage does 10k damage with a meteor, a guy with 50% resilience is hit meaning he will take 5k damage.


I got this idea from fire emblem, so fans of those games know what I'm suggesting :P. Also this can be buffed or nerfed if needed as this is a suggestion.

I guess, does that mean I need to nerf agility as well on most armor with this ID?

 

Perhaps two to three new Id's.
Resilience counters thorns (maybe Spell Damage)
Constitution counters poison
(Possibly) Warding for Spell Damage

 

this would only work in pvp, i dont see how it would work in normal gameplay

 

Add mobs with spell damage and such as well.
