  1. Of course, there's no point in new weapons

  2. Sounds great

  3. Fine

  4. I'm not sure

  5. No

  6. I hate it

This is not a suggestion to those who wish to make their fan-classes (adding new weapons in those wouldn't hurt), but instead just directly to the wynncraft developers.

Creating weapon sets takes (or should take, unless the wynn developers have some amazing method of doing it), should take an enormous amount of time - especially with the new gavel update. They have to create names, models, identifications, and select which mobs they drop from - this is not an easy task.

So, why would you make an entirely new set of weapons when you can just recycle the old ones?
You know how the asthetic classes (knight, hunter, etc) use the same weapons as the other ones right? Well why not do the same for entirely new classes.

For example, a "paladin" class would use the same weapon as warriors, and a "necromancer" class would use the same weapons as a mage. It's as simple as that. Make new classes, but let them be similar to the old ones - and then give them the same kinds of weapons. It would save up extreme amounts of time that could be used for much more important things.

Love this! I've always wanted additional classes, and without this they're much less likely to get done, or even started.

Copying the weapons of the previous classes would show quite a bit of laziness. You're practically copying the code of a class and changing the name+spells. I'd rather a completely new set of classes be released. I think it'd be more interesting. Using the same weapons would feel too similar.

They could use Hatchets, Tomes, Wands, Batons, Throwing Knives, Maces, Flails, Scimitars, Sickles, Lances, Javelins, Whips, and many more. So why limit themselves to just Staves, Hammers, Spears, Bows, Crossbows, and Daggers?

Good point, actually. I had only considered a few options (Lances and whips)

It makes perfect sense. Why would other classes not be able to wield them? Would paladins be disabled so they cant use a spear? It makes sense for them being able to use it. However, adding another set of weapons would make things more interesting. If both warrior and paladin can use spears/swords, this would make more interesting combinations for builds and weapons. Especially with the elements. Say, for example, an ability of paladin really benefits from extra fire damage, but there is no good sword with fire damage for that level. But there is a spear. That would be a good moment to switch.

Look at every single other mmo... Are they all lazy? No, but why would a paladin be unable to use a spear?

    "Quite a bit of laziness".
Even if they added new classes using existing weapon types, they would have to code the stats and individual spells and spell upgrades, which isn't exactly a walk in the park...
They will indeed be a completely new set of classes, except they will be using types of weapons readily available.
After all, until 1.9, the devs are limited to what items they can use for weapon models.
