Nerf The Freakin Bandit Leader

I am but a lowly level 32 Archer, trying to finish the Sandy Scandal quest.
I CAN'T KILL THE FRIKKING BANDIT LEADER.
Maybe I'm just an idiot, trying to do the wrong thing, but I'm pretty sure this is what supposed to be doing. All the quest book says is "Don't let the bandits escape!" The bandit leader has like 10,000 hp or smthn. Do you expect me to kill that with a 30-50 neutral damage bow? I'm slowly losing my inventory and since I can't get into the bank, I can't safeguard my items. I lost my chestplate right off my body. I'm this close to losing my bows, and I don't have a replacement.

 

Is there a timer that is going on while you’re fighting?

 

You're supposed to focus on defusing the tnt

 

I know, but I really can't when I have this mob of bandits following me, one who is virtually unkillable.
And can teleport.

And has ranged weapons.

 

You don't need to kill the leader, you just need to stand on pressure plates near piles of TNT that spawn. Once you've done that enough times you're teleported to a new arena where the leader has less health and is a passive mob. Just focus on dodging attacks with Escape speed and staying on the pressure plates.

The bandit leader is entirely melee. Additionally, he doesn't teleport, per se; he just does a heavy charge of heavy damage.

Also, is your armor even suitable for your level?

yeah just run around the edges until a tnt spawns and quickly go for it before continuing to run around

 

Yes, he does teleport. And maybe I'm stupid, but wdym with the armor thing?

The boss doesn't have teleport, he just charges quickly. Try to use the new arrow shield spell in addition to arrow storm to keep the enemies away so you can defuse the tnt

 

he doesn't teleport, he only has a charge. though it may look like teleport.

Anyways, the strategy here would be to stay near the center and kill the other mobs, and when the pressure plates pops up, use your escape spell to land on it and defuse the TNT. The minions are ranged, not the boss itself.

 

he uses charge i have 3 100s i know what i'm talking about you don't kill him you evade and defuse the tnt use spells to slow him down

 

I don't remember if he can teleport or not, but my advice for this fight is to play defensively. You can give yourself a speedboost, and also use arrow shield to knock away any bandits that get close to you. If you want I can come online and help keep away the bandits while you work on the TNT.

 

What I mean by teleport is basically jumping around. I KNOW THAT THE STRATEGY IS TO KILL EVERYBODY EXCEPT THE LEADER AND STAND ON THE PRESSURE PLATES, BUT THAT'S NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. I'VE LOST MY RING, MY BRACELET, AND I'M THIS CLOSE TO LOSING MY BOWS. I DON'T HAVE REPLACEMENT BOWS. I'M BASICALLY STUCK IN ALMUJ AND CAN'T REALLY GET ANYWHERE TO GET MY REPLACEMENT ARMOR. I'M OUT OF HEALTH POTIONS TOO.

I've never had a problem with this part of the quest when I do it at level 32 with any class so just seems like more of a you problem tbh I don't see a reason why we should nerf him since I find him quite easy to avoid

Oh yeah btw I thought this post was originally gonna be about the random bandit leader guy I found in a secluded camp with 100k hp based off the title (they might've removed him idk) lol

I'm just standing in a spot where there's no mobs or anything and my health is going down.

 

He lost a lot of his gear. He was talking about him dying to the fight so many times it made him lose his gear.
