    Ice Bear says monster was always a good wand however it was underrated as even more glassy builds could survive well. Ice Bear says in the raids it is far more about being able to survive than deal damage so now it is in high demand.

    Monster has gone up because it's a tanky mage weapon, therefore useful for TCC. It hasn't actually gotten any better, just TCC (really, group play in general) strongly incentivizes using mages for healing, so the tanky high heals mythic wand that still gets decent damage and can boost teammates with Courage is going to be a primary option. Despite the heal penalty, Monster is still often used for this purpose.
