riddle: You said it crossed the road, which means it, well, crossed it, which means to go from one side to the other, but them you say it didn't make it to the other side, so that means it didn't actually cross the road, it just attempted to cross the road! So this doesn't make any sense! Unleeeeeeeees, the "he didn't make it to the other side" part means the other side of something else! Like the other side of a river on the other side of the road, and the side that the chicken didn't make it to is actually the other side of that river, not the other side of the road! So the whole story might actually go something like this: "There was a chicken on the East side of a river, he wanted to make it to the other side. There was a road in between the chicken and the river. The chicken crossed the road, and didn't make it to the other side (Of the river!)." So that means the chicken did make it to the other side of the road, just not the other side of the river, or maybe something else he wanted to cross. That means he would have had to end up anywhere between the other side of the road, and the other side of the river. So my final answer is: ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD.
