    Your statement about freedom is basically true, but the issue is it gets crushed in boss fights, it's damage is too split out to actually have any part enough to break bosses elemental defense, and I'm not sure that will change.

    You keep talking about %regen... it does pretty much nothing.

    Not true at all. % regen is adding % of your regen. You regen more if you have lower health, so it's quite useful. You can see that with warp, having both negative raw and % regen.

    Ye and then you realize Boreal doesn't have an ample supply of anything to help tone down the -effects of Warp.

    Trying to fix warp's regen is like trying to use guardian as a glass canon... It's not gonna work.

    I mean Boreal doesn't even work for helping with mana regen. 2/4 Mana Regen, some 186% health regen (which pales in comparison to the =regen on Warp and the regen on Amulet of Rejuvenation), and the tiniest bit or raw regen and ws which is not gonna suffice for even choosing to use it when it gives you -400 Fire Defense and walls off fire synergy by giving -fire damage. By walling off fire synergy, it doesn't even let itself cure it's horrifying disease - Phoenixitis at it's worst.

    If Boreal had been designed better, it could have been used as a Complement to Warp to heal back some of the -mana and actually reduce the -raw regen, since after all, it is a fucking Mythic.

    Yeah but Boreal isn't made for Warp. I doubt they think that one-sided. Boreal is supposed to be used in a casual air build (for PvE obv) for much better survivability.

    Not the best mythic in the world though, I won't lie.

    I would agree if it weren't for 2 things:

    Regen timers are reset when you are hit in combat. Meaning that in heavy combat, by getting hit so often, I won't get the chance to use that sustainability.

    And -400 Fire Defense is just asking to get hit hard.

    Oh didn't know that. Still adds to the playstyle of using ws + agi + regen to not get hit and regen any damage, while also using the armor powder special (when fixed lol) to stack up those damages.

    Yeah I wouldn't run around Rodoroc wearing those.

    Problem is that the regen is actually puny by comparison to stuff like Snail Boots.

    welp im here YOU KNOW WHAT IM GOING TO DO it isssssssssss IDOL RANT TIME!!!
    so honestly i would say idol should get a buff just a small one though. what i would do is first is add mana regen changing it from 1/4 to 3/4 to 3/4 to 5/4 the reason i would add this buff is the fact that the weapon i would say currently does not have much more to offer outside of a small damage boost compared to tide. tidebinder has a massive water defense id more mana regen and a fire damage id so quite honestly i personally think its better than idol as the damage difference is not that huge. now i would like to buff idol's damage or its defense ids (probably damage as idol is more offensive than tide) or add something like a mana steal id. with all these buffs id add the small nerf of a -thunder defense id cause its a water spear. but really i definitely think its in need of a buff.

    As an Archer main, I don't think any bows should receive a nerf in weapon damage since elemental hive bow easily out damage most Archer mythics AND THAT IS TOTALLY FINE because the purpose of mythics are not supposed to like a super tier weapons that destroy every other weapons in the game. Like Salted stated that mythic are just weapons with "personality", and I personally think Archer mythics are very well done when it comes to that. So I wouldn't nerf anything, I would change some of its stats to match the "personality" better. For example, grandmother should give you health because she always feed you food, not taking health away because that's just morbid: is like implying that grandmother is slowly dying.
    Hive bows just makes Archer a great class.

    That's not how ids work.
    Well I agree on that, it's just that Stratiformis is not fulfilling it's role, in my opinion. It's an air bow, not earth, nothing indicates its earth except for the absurd amount of damage. It's just that air isn't supposed to deal so much damage, and Strati, like warp, is like W R O N G and defies the laws of elements and deals earth-level damage. Also about the Grandmother thing it's probably about being old and thus you're almost dying? Anyway for how the weapon currently is a health buff wouldn't be logical.

    am I correct in assuming that this elemental defense fix is making the formula consider attack speed as well, because the current formula heavily favors slow weapons because it doesn't consider what the attack speed is? I've heard the about the elemental defense formula being fucky before. However, I've always felt a little out of the loop on it, especially when people bring up the "raw vs %" stuff for elemental def, or am I mixing topics? Hell if I know.

    Basically, attack speeds. Right now, all the damage is added with spells, all but the attack speed multiplier, before substracting the elemental defense. This benefits very slow and super slow weapons, and really fucks over the day of fast attacking weapons. Because of this it becomes easy to 100% tank thunder weapons (except cata ofcourse).

    So you take a base. Let's say 10. The system calculates the ranges. For 10 that would be 3-13, and for -10 it would be -7 to -13.

    Positive: x0.3-1.3
    Negative: x0.7-1.3

    For Idol I'd say +3/4s base instead of 2-4s, so +1-4/4s.
