My Life Steal And Mana Steal Aren't Working Anymore!!

Was negative health regeneration fixed too? I used to only lose health when I'm not at full health. Now I lose health no matter how much health I have initially.

 

As soon as we make good counter-arguments for the rediculous nerf, the staff ignore us. Great. I would love it if they would answer our questions but now idk if that will happen.

 

Well @Selvut283 probably doesn't even know half the reasons why since even he didn't know that poison giving steal was unintentional until recently. Hopefully one the admins makes a public post explaining a bit about it.

I'm ok with a Mage heal nerf honestly. If they changed it to (20% of max health X (1+ Intel%)) for the main one and then pulses like (5% of max health X (1+Intel %)

Mage's basic attack deals the lowest damage of all the classes' basic attacks.

Archer can't hit a lot of enemies with their basic attack? Hm, and you keep saying it's so OP.

I am playing as Assassin, using a particularly not-so-good Skien's Paranoia dagger. I round up 6-8 enemies and swing away, and then suddenly I'm getting most of my life back. And I'm not getting hit, not because of my Agility, but because I'm actually trying to dodge. Again, the game has gotten more difficult. Adjust to it, hone your skills. 47 life steal with about 3200 health means I need to have Life Steal activate 68 times to fully heal, and against just 6-8 mobs(they've got about 2400 health by the by) I'm getting back about 3/5 of my health on average. That means it's activating about 41 times.

Warriors have high defense naturally. If you're going with a high life-steal build, those extra hits you take should be at least somewhat inconsequential, especially since many defensive items have Life Steal rather than just poison-related items, but of course this means it'll be less effective with your higher health, making it BALANCED.

We do have to sleep, you know.

 

Only real issue I have is that it's based on chance. Sometimes when in a sticky situation wacking away at 10+ mobs and not healing just doesn't seem right to me. Was thinking if there could be an actual way to determine when you get lifesteal back rather than chancing it.

Also, I am quite a fan of the nerfed life & manasteal as well. Makes the game a lot more difficult instead of being completely invincible.

 

I also am personally against the chance-based life steal, as unless they increased the activation percentage for weapons with slower speeds, Life Steal is suddenly much less useful for slow-speed weapons since you can't hit enemies as often to activate the chance. I asked Salted about this, and while he hasn't answered about the exact chance, he said he was aware of the consequences when he made the change, so hopefully he knows what he's doing.

 

I don't really like the 'new' changes the GM's made *if there is any changes*
Example: If assassin ran out of mana and he had mana steal on any of his gear he could get back to full with a simple Multi-Hit. If you truly Intended this nerf on mana steal
why wasn't it included in the gavel update on the change log? *Spells no longer trigger mana steal* <---- NERF

 

So you get a high attack speed weapon ex: Ethereal <---- Very Fast Attack Speed and then you spam it and it should work until those 2 seconds are up?

 

I figured you wouldn't just leave slow attackers out in the cold like that.

 

I should like the new mana steal nerf because now I can just Ice Snake a large group of mobs and AA them for mana back instead of just Ice Snake > get a fuck ton of mana back
its like they wanted basic attacks to be more efficient in this update rather than to just cast spells

 

I know, right? It's almost like spell spam isn't the only viable strategy anymore!

 

Still before this new change I was able to Ice Snake the mobs from other areas to get mana back so I could sprint more often but now that isn't possible and it just wastes 4 * :(
