My Current Build Or The Champion Set?

My current build uses Third Eye, Booster Plate, Dark Shroud, and Sodeta Boots; I planned on making a temporary spell spam/walk speed build (sounds pretty dumb even to myself). I've been using this build for quite a while now, but it doesn't seem to really work out. So right now I am asking whether to continue using this build of mine, or just to switch back to the ol' Champion Set.

 

Current build. Champion Set is pretty bad.

 

How so (at least compared to my current one)? I just want a slight explanation.

 

Even with no real damage boosters to speak of, your current gear outstrips Champion Set's boosts. It has better damage, but you certainly have better mana, and tbh you can just swap your chestplate for the damage booster of your choice to make up the difference.

Champion set at level is perfectly fine. It's set bonus and base stats make it a pretty nice jack of all trades option, boasting mana, lb/xp bonus, etc. However, compared to this build, it lacks (which makes sense, as the build is at least level 88 due to third eye).
