All/general: Is it certain that the throat wound was the cause of death, or could it have been inflicted postmortem to hide the true cause of death?

Assuming we (the detectives) are at the site, can I ask an environment based question:

How is the area being lit up? Torches? Open-Lanterns? Closed-Lanterns?

Krom: Did you flee because you assumed you would be found guilty if you were near the body when others discovered it?

 

Krom: "Partially that, and partially because I was scared of what could have killed him."

Well, this image isn't great, but the camp is lit with torches and those fire lantern things.

Is there anything else on the body? Perhaps a note or something that was missed or overlooked?

 

As you examine the body, you find a small, bloodstained knife buried under Vade's corpse.

 

So that means that if the knife was buried, the body was planted in the side passage. If there was a trail of blood leading a short distance away, my theory is that Vade went into the ruins and near that side passage. The murderer then slit his throat, then when Vade crumpled and bled to death, the murderer buried the knife. After the knife was buried, the murderer dragged Vade's body over the knife to hide it, probably knowing that the autopsy would leave the body in the same spot.

So that leaves me with a few questions-

About how heavy is Vade? (I'd like to know how long it would take for him to be dragged by an average person.)
Also, is the bloodied knife elemental? FIRE elemental?
And a question posed to everyone: Can you give any evidence you were doing what you say you were doing? (Can Tasha provide the scroll she was deciphering? Did anyone see Gorreth doing his job? Can Krom show us the spot he was digging? Did anyone see Ormrod packing? Or perhaps can he show us the completed bag?)

 

Vade is rather heavy, being an average-sized villager.
The knife is actually fire-elemental.
Tasha, Krom, and Ormrod all show you the evidence of their testimonies (Tasha's scroll, Krom's digging spot, and Ormrod's bag.). Ormrod also says he saw Gorreth patrolling.

 

(I feel I'm putting way too much detail and effort into this, haha. I really like Murder Mystery style games, okay?)

Does it seem like Vade put up a fight?

 

He was killed stealthily, but he did try to move around after taking the fatal wound.
